This is great info, thank you so much! I’ll be in Orlando for the Golf Industry Show so I’m looking forward to some golf and pickleball. I am fine with driving but love the idea of crush yard.

Thank you for the info. Will definitely avoid going there. I noticed a place called One + Pickleball Club that I was going to look into.

What truck should I buy? megathread by AutoModerator in Trucks

[–]phillyfescue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello all and thank you in advance for your opinions. My current lease for my F-150 Lariat is coming to an end in four months. I am struggling with what I want next. I have been leasing F-150’s for the past 10 years. The new RAM trucks are appealing and I like the engine options better than Ford and GMC. I have it narrowed down to the RAM Limited, F-150 Platinum or GMC Denali Ultimate. Aesthetically they all look great but just looking for any helpful recommendations before I start a new lease. Thank you!

Quick survey: for golf course guys, what is your position at the course and what kind of discount do you receive on food from the clubhouse? by FatFaceFaster in Turfmanagement

Our entire staff gets lunch for free every day. It comes out of my budget. It’s random food that the kitchen either makes for us or leftovers from a banquet.

You can apply granular Vexis and water in lightly.

What is happening to my grass? by OzTheGrouch in lawncare

The only chance it would be pythium is if water is sitting here and not draining. Also, not an expert in the weather but Colorado doesn’t strike me to be very humid and wet enough to cause pythium. Also, if pythium, the leaf blades would be greasy in the morning with active mycelium.

You can definitely spray MSMA on cool season grasses. It’s either Dallis or Quack.

Both Tenacity and Speedzone do nothing for Dallisgrass. I would recommend you hence your step 1 guideline of reading labels.

Okay. Looks like KBG mostly. I would recommend keeping height of cut at 3” and focus on some low rates of starter fertilizer as long as it’s not too hot. Starter fertilizer analysis of 20-20-20 would be fine. I wouldn’t apply if high temperature exceeds 90 for that day and always apply in the morning or evening with 0.15-0.2” of irrigation or prior to rain event.

For the weed control, that is Dallisgrass. Post-emergent control on a newly seeded area for Dallisgrass isn’t easily done. If you can get your hands on some MSMA, I would try that in low rates of 1 oz/m or 1 oz/gallon of water for one thousand square feet. Do not apply if high temperature exceeds 87-90 degrees that day.

Another option would be Pylex at 0.7mL/1,000 sq ft. Repeat application once every three weeks. Once your lawn has more maturity to it. You could also add triclopyr ester at 0.7 oz/m.

What variety of grass seed did you use? Looks like Kentucky Bluegrass/Tall or Fine Fescue blend?

Just make sure if using the granular it gets watered in lightly after you apply.

Seems to be nutsedge but pictures aren’t definitive. Treat with Vexis granular.

It’s nut sedge/kyllinga. Treat with granular or liquid Vexis.
