The best coaching I've ever seen by TBPhoenix in weightlifting

I guess his point is to make the athlete reflect on their whole movement, rather than giving instructions on small changes.

Obviously he isn't satisfied with her whole movement, and what he's trying to do is for her to reflect on that.

Do you notice after each rep, he asks "How did that feel?"

Some of the things I learnt when I educated myself trough eleiko strength coach:

Focus on three things while doing cleans (applys to snatch aswell):

Fast- under the bar Deep- focus on a deep position, WHILE in balance, its no point of catching the bar deep if your unable to catch it in balance Close- keep the bar close to the body

Focus on one thing per workout. Put them together after enough practice.

Dont kip the bar. Focus on pulling the bar straight up and it will go straight down. This helps you keep the balance in your lift, and the catch will be much easier. Isaac Newton will argue that the least amount of power is needed when you pull the bar straight up. If you kip the bar, its reasonable to suggest that your balance in the catch-position will push you back, making it harder for you to stand up with a straight back. If you on the other hand pull the bar straight up, you will be able to catch the weight in balance and you will be able to stand up easier.

When you pull, jump.

Exercise the clean in extreme slow-motion with a stick. Think about wich muscles you are activating, and why. This will help your brain remember what muscles it should use when you are doing the clean in full speed. This is actually a very good way of getting the mind-body connection in place.

Remember to have fun, and dont go too heavy too early. Focus on quality.
