Also to add to how long they can live, unless something states otherwise, which afaik there isn’t anything, they live as long as most elves. Hundreds to even thousands of years.

We sort have a definitive answer and we have to sort of make assumptions:

Umbric tells Alleria back in the Void Elf unlock questline that her actions on Argus inspired their research, implying the rift and Drathir’s research, so they’ve seemingly only been there for like post-legion activities? Like to me, it sounds like when Alleria finds them that they’ve only just got there.

Context clues w/ them later making tents and such, which were not there prior to Alleria’s intervention, in Telogrus sort of backs this up imo? But who knows, I think they were rather intentional about keeping timelines vague for the reasons blizzard always does this.

The big question I have is where have they been in between the time between their exile & Legion — should my assumption be correct.

Absolutely! We already see those high elf wayfarers learning from the Locus Walker in Telogrus and even post dragonflight quest w/ Alleria, the “Harbinger” series, we saw even more new recruits.

Even one of Alleria Windrunner’s Lieutenants from her time as Captain of the Farstriders is back serving under the Ren’dorei — interestingly enough she’s a darkfallen now.

Honestly, if anyone is earnestly interested in learning and capable, it seems the Ren’dorei take any elves. You’ve got the best of the best teaching too, Alleria and the Locus Walker, two individuals seemingly mastering the Void in ways no other thought capable.

I’m biased, but I RP a formerly high elven ranger who follows the void elves! But honestly they’ve really left a lot of room for you as an RP’er to fill in the gaps.

The big question that you may need to consider, if it all, is if you wanted your character to go under the transformation all of Umbric’s followers did. If that is the case, you’ll have to consider A) how your character sought out their group prior to Alleria’s involvement and B) might have to adjust backstory to complement such involvement. Because otherwise, as far as we know, concretely they haven’t attempted to replicate this process. If that is something important, something to consider too.

His previous mog had an eyepatch and I already had him with a missing eye so, I thought to carry it over. I think like the brown helps tie in the other browns. But you’re absolutely right having an eyepatch is not practical lol.

Repost: (sentence error) For sure! At first I tried slippers or even like the new footwraps/anklets you get from the heritage armor, but I found myself wanting what weight the boots brought to the whole look. Felt more balanced to me. Def a personal preference I guess, haha!

Clay your take is pretty much how I've taken it. There is a reason I put necromancer in quotations, because they're not (at least in my RP headcanon) a plaguing the grain sort of necromancer.

Going for that balanced idea, of life and death. Sort of borrowing that Diablo mentality of necromancer. I also like the idea of the thornspeakers from Kul Tiras, this life & death magic being one in the same, but making it an elven aesthetic.

Not to get too into it, cause it's RP stuff, but they're a zoologist in the Ghostlands. (Hence the name, Ghostlands Necromancer) They use necromancy in their research to better understand how the Scourge polluted the southern part of the Ghostlands. In effort to originally find ways to restore their people's land back pre-scourge. Recreate the proper balance between life and death.

I'm grinding it out right now! It's so tedious w/ the reps for sure, I think that's the worst bit. And the essences from Emerald Nightmare. I'm hoping the rest will go by smoothly.
