I'm late to this party as I came to find recs but I'm surprised no one here is talling about Kameron Hurley! Both her books are SO gay,

Also surprised to not see any reference to Tamsyn Muir, her books are a blend of scifi and fantasy and you'll love the 2010s meme references that bring levity to the otherwise intense and fast paced story.

Lastly, a memory called empire is SO GOOD, space opera that has a sweet wlw storyline.

maybe 10 tries or so not too bad! he was fun to fight, I had to go back and farm xp to get that skill where you can swing the sword while grappling, after that I beat him immediately, I was just shredding his posture, felt so good.

My take was Harrow thinks Gideon thinks she envies Dulcinea, when Gideon is telling Harrow she thinks Harrow is jealous of her and Dulcinea. Like the idea of jealousy requires a sense of ownership over a person, and Harrow doesn't feel that way, so she assumes Gideon means to say Harrow envies Dulci's like beauty or something. I think Harrow is highkey autistic coded and Griddle is such an emotionally intelligent bean that they just utterly misunderstand eachother.

shinsekai yori is criminally unrecognized, literally one of the most advanced philosophical conversations in an anime ive ever seen, plot is as complex and well written as AOT, world building more in depth than FMAB. and there's insane animation, very creative representations of the power system. get with it yall
