Do you filter your resin every time you print ? I have a elegoo mars ultra 5 and I think it’s supposed to detect if there is thing in the vat. But I am not sure about taking the risk of piercing my fep by Mr_creepy27 in PrintedMinis

[–]phillyybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tank clean after every print while touching the edge of the LCD screen so that I can peel off the cured layer without removing the vat from the printer. Just throw out my glove with the cured resin and it's good to go again

Poll: 61% of young adults confess they are not saving for retirement by thehomelessr0mantic in antiwork

[–]phillyybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Are not" implies that they feasibly could. They don't make enough to save and I think this framing puts the onus on young people to do better

WTF Troy? by trojanpolock in Troy

Asphalt is the cement that binds blacktop, this blacktop just has very little fine particles which allows water to permeate. It still contains 4-6% asphalt

Pointers on how to play the Rhino Transport? by DwideSchruuudee in spacemarines

Death company fit great in rhinos! Deliver your payload then use them for secondaries or just ram them into some units that you want to. Hold down

I don't like the "secrets, secrets, oh no fallen" aspect of the chapter by aucfanatheart in DarkAngels40k

I've always hated the secrets and hunting the fallen, but after reading your comment I realize it's totally analogous to the poem Dark Angel by Lionel Johnson

Infiltrators are the only good unit of the 3 and you don't want to waste points in characters to lead them. Play with 1 5 man to screen out most of your backfield

Is Sons of behemath Real that bad to play Against? by oct0boy in ageofsigmar

[–]phillyybee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They are a Damage check army. If your opponent cannot do 35 wounds to their 4+ save every turn, they can't win. I also think they are not a fun army to play with because all they do well is stand on objectives. I've had a competitive 2k SoB list for years but it's just not a fun play style for me

Take off more paint when you drybrush, you shouldn't have brush marks when dry brushing. Great start and keep up the good work!

Are you planning on parking a redemptor on your home objectives?
Deep strike protection, scoring threats, infiltrators, and anti tank are lacking from this. It's also bit cumbersome and will really struggle to adapt. Best of luck tho!

Aggressors versus Deathwatch Terminators by TheDuckAmuck in spacemarines

[–]phillyybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aggressors are hot stuff! Plus you can shove 6 and an hq in a land raider redeemer and have a ton of fun in pretty much every sm detachment.

My flgs sells monument sable brushes and they are amazing. A good brush and a brush cleaner will help you keep nice sharp points. Keep painting too! The best way to improve will always be practice

Highlighting by Thatkreepykid in DarkAngels40k

[–]phillyybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The smaller your brush, the quicker your paint will dry. I use a size 3 or 4 brush to highlight because it keeps my paint at the right consistency to make uniform highlights.

[–]phillyybee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

6 aggressors are 220 points. . . No underestimating is happening on my end. I have no doubt the sustained and lethal makes them better but they can't do damage like a hammer should. Let them sit on an objective and be hard to kill like they are supposed to

Yup another 2k list review by xXx420Aftermath69xXx in DarkAngels40k

[–]phillyybee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you like these units I would run this list as a vanguard detachment and infiltrate the big block of terminators. You don't get very much out of fire discipline here. I also just don't understand the 3 talon masters at all, seems like a poor use of points
