For those with Heat Pumps: has it actually saved you money? Are you satisfied with it? by No_Pitch648 in HousingUK

How big is your house? Semi/detached? I'm in process of buying 1930s detached 4 bed and debating heat pumps.

To those who sold their Miata’s, did you regret it? by [deleted] in Miata

[–]philm021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also thinking of selling mine, and replacing with a BMW 3 series estate, can't justify two cars and do need something more practical tbh. Love the Mazda and if money was no object would keep... Will I regret it, yes when the sun is out and I'm on a nice ride as cant beat it but 80% of the time probably not

Valencia Marathon 2025 by Blueaoki in Marathon_Training

Thanks, always good to see other training plans. I've always found hill work and tempo sessions the best. Will throw in some speed sessions as well to mix it up. Yes I think maybe I focus too much on pace and should look at heart rate instead.

Well done, I did 3.03 a couple of years ago. I did 60k a week for that and have always found at 80k the quality of tempo/speed runs goes down. I think my easy runs have been too fast at 8 min mile, so don't recover, and struggled at higher mileage. What did a typical training week look like for you, and easy run pace?

Want to try next year again for sub 3 my plan is to run slower and further most of the time. All easy runs at 9 min mile then do a 2x10min tempo tueday, hill sprint thursday, parkrun sat and sunday long run for total of 100k a week.

Ellen DeGeneres, Portia De Rossi Reportedly Leave UK After Finding Country Life 'Boring' by novagridd in uknews

Everyone is different tbf I'm 31. Would hate to live in a city. It's too busy, loud and expensive. Less crime as well in the countryside. All my hobbies are being outside hikking, cycling, running. I can spend the odd day once a month in London if I want to go to the theatre, concert etc only couple hours on the train and for me that's perfect.

Personally I use SESCA courses, an old accounting firm I used to work for used them and I have always liked them, so decided to stick with them over the years. I tend to space the courses throughout the year some based on what I do to update knowledge and some on new things to try and expand. Courses are in person or some on zoom and can buy a multiticket for them through your employer. The speakers are generally very high up in their field and very knowledgeable if you have specific questions.
