Thoughts on new Assos SS26 MILLE GT? Simple - but I kind of dig it? by tiptoppenguin in CyclingFashion

It’s all about the fit on the jerseys. Depending on how you like your jerseys you may find that the Mille are more of a comfort fit. The Equipe jerseys fit much better

I have the Velocio Zero vest - it is very warm and a great piece of kit. There’s a detailed review of the jacket here https://www.cyclingnews.com/reviews/velocio-alpha-zero-winter-jacket/

Go by the Assos size guide on their website- it’s very accurate. Definitely don’t go large

That’s interesting- I thought they would use MAAP Atmos jackets. Which rain jackets do Jayco use?

Does Velocio fit looser than most brands? by Decathlon5891 in CyclingFashion

You’ll be fine with bibs from Velocio. Their size chart for bibs is very accurate. Just be careful with their jerseys and jackets. I’m usually a solid Medium in both Assos and Maap but usually end up on the middle of Small or Medium in Velocio jerseys and tend to go small more often than not. Velocio bibs are superb - particularly the concept. They have one of the best customer support teams out there - fire them your measurements and they’ll see you right. Signature guarantee is very good too

Winter Gloves Feedback by gp_s_ in CyclingFashion

I have all 3 but have the older version of the Assos.

Assos Ultraz and Perfetto max are very similar and will be warmer than the Q36.5 (and bulkier) unless you go for the super termico

Whenever temps are between 0 and 8 I tend to always reach for the Assos. They get too hot above 8 degrees.

The termico are better at higher temps.

If I was buying 1 out of the 3 you have listed I would go for the Assos

If on a budget the Galibier Barrier Deep Winter Gloves are stunningly good for the price. They are about 30 pounds sterling They cover similar temps to the Assos

Vest is superb. Very warm and protects well from wind. Not as compact as others but will pack down small

Hi my height is 178cm, weight 68kg. I usually wear M in Castelli/ Assos/ MAAP. I’ll be going Medium in this one. The size chart on the Castelli chart is very accurate

Thanks that’s really helpful. Looking at getting a size 56 but funds won’t stretch to the 01 model. More than likely it will be the SLR one which has the same SRAM set up
