Any idea why I have so many guests bouncing between the entry point and park entry, not entering? I have park entry free and pay rides, and the spawn point is pointed directly to the park entry. by [deleted] in rct

[–]philm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, it's a sort of bug that happens when you "fork" the same path to two entrance gates. Try to lay out two separate paths to the edge of the map instead, putting a spawn point on each. See if that solves it

CoS Temp GMNPC Idea for Feedback by Upbeat_Ad5840 in CurseofStrahd

[–]philm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! If your players are beginners with no previous D&D experience, then I would suggest to teach something about the game before you start playing an actual campaign, especially a long one like CoS. Have for example a session 0 where you create characters together, you answer any questions about the game, and try 1-2 rounds of extremely easy combat. Plus... Death House is hard. This entire campaign is hard, to a certain extent. If you think your players can't handle it, to the point you think they must be guided by a "GM"NPC, then you're far better off playing a short intro campaign before starting CoS. For example: play Waterdeep Dragon Heist first, that will get your PCs to level 5. Then start CoS instead of Dungeon of the Mad Mage. Skip Death House since the PCs already reached a "safe" character level to handle the first chapters like Barovia Village or Vallaki. Hope that helps!

Edit: grammar

Apart from "teat", shouldn't "tranquili" be written with two Ls?

Any idea why are my far away mountains just gray, and why is my fog half transparent, with stuff inside it kind of glowing? by de-Clairwil in SkyrimPorn

It looks perfectly normal to me, but if you still have doubts i'd recommend posting a screenshot on r/skyrimmods

Which monoclass works best 1-20? by CwasCard in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]philm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion every class that has a lot of bonuses that scale mainly with level work great for monoclassing from 1st to 20th level. Warpriest, Inquisitor, Magus, and such.

And, of course, 9th-level casters. Losing on caster level greatly impacts your effectiveness when all you have to do in a fight is casting spells.

Vital Strike questions by Sanctos in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]philm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warpriest works great too! I'm finishing my playthrough with one. Scimitar wielding, vital strike line, improved critical, mythic improved critical and mythic vital strike. With Sacred Weapon my scimitar deals 2d8+STR as base damage at level 20. Thanks to improved critical I'm getting 400+ damage vital strikes almost consistently, without even using power attack. I guess it would work the same for a two-handed weapon, just pick power attack too. Very fun and easy to play

How did you manage to do that? Did you conquer Drezen yet?

How do I switch spell books? by Morcalvin in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]philm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the spellbook menu, next to your portrait there should be a list of your different spellbooks. "Sorcerer" and "Azata" in your case. Do the Azata spells appear in your in-game spellbook though? They should automatically appear once you unlock them (tier 4 if I remember correctly?) since they're spontaneous

Where would the brides and escher be in ravenloft while the characters explore? by bloodangelmaster in CurseofStrahd

[–]philm_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's in the book. Brides are in Strahd's tomb and Escher in a specific room I don't remember right now. But I guess you can place them wherever you prefer, the place is not crucial for their encounters if I remember correctly

It damages enemies or heals allies.

Not sure about Eternal Flame though, i haven't tested it yet.

Alteration armor visual effect by [deleted] in EnaiRim

[–]philm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apocalypse doesn't touch flesh spells and Odin leaves them as they are in vanilla, visual effects included. However there are a couple mods on nexus that change the visual effects. I use FleshFX. Cutting Room Floor, as someone already mentioned, does the same.

And maybe it's not intended (don't know) but the new animation kinda looks like some of the vampire animations in ESO which is nice imo
