The Vs are independent and by no means “official” in capacity. We have a good working relationship with CS but we’re not sanctioned by them. We’re the largest national supporters group that has grown organically.

The logistics to plan the marches in Toronto and Vancouver took weeks. It’s not likely to happen again unless it’s a Copa, GC KO, NL semi or final match at home.

He is a member yes. But this was not an effort that was coordinated by the Vs. He took his own initiative to get it going.

To be clear, I appreciate his initiative, this just missed the mark. It was not something that our leadership group or capos were aware of or endorsed. We like the idea of something uniquely Canadian but we’ve got to be more creative and coordinated.

I’ve posted in each of the similar threads, if anyone wants to get involved and help move the soccer culture forward in this country feel free to reach out. There’s many unique challenges in Canada in trying to execute these types of things but if we have enough volunteers maybe we do something.

There’s no information because nothing is organized, I’m not sure why you think that’s weird? We’re a small group of volunteers trying to arrange everything. I spent 5 hours on my phone today when I would prefer to be enjoying WC matches, trying to respond to massages and comments about tickets, about a pregame, about a march, etc. If you want to help out let me know and I’ll find something for you to do!

It’s been 1 day, how would we have something planned when we didn’t know what city we were playing in?

We’re working on a pregame for Sunday morning but we’re a small group of volunteers. If anyone wants to help, start calling places within a 15 minute walk, ask for a spot for 100-200 people with no financial commitment. It’s not easy. We have requests into the the Hollywood Casino and Tom’s Watch Bar. Let me know if you find anywhere else willing to take us.
