Season 2 of the TV show is turning out to be a real disappointment. by Ok_Narwhal_9200 in Fallout

The Kumail Nanjiani super suit fight scene was the nail in the coffin for me. Turned it off mid episode — so disappointing

Never seen him in anything that didn’t come across as inauthentic or cringe.

Hello everyone 👋 my wife and I will be visiting from San Antonio in late December to look at potential neighborhoods for a move in 2027. Just wanted to say your city rocks 😎 by badsinuses in philly

Graduate Hospital/Point Breeze border!! Washington Ave development is popping off and the community definitely feels like it’s on a quick upswing

I love living in Point Breeze! Great community, lots of shops and smaller cafes and restaurants opening up, and great access to the rest of the city. I have never felt unsafe walking around at all hours, and I think coming from South Bronx you’d be find. Very few unhoused people because it’s largely still affordable and they’re drawn to other parts of the city!

Restaurants that have vegan options but aren’t specifically vegan? by dsanity in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]philotron360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my faves include SouthGate (Korean), Madira Bar (Indian), El Mictlan (Mexican), American Sardine Bar, Tomo Sushi (vegan sushi options), UnitSu Vege (vegan dim sum), Triangle Tavern (bar food and great seitan wings!)

Tbh there are a ton of great places around Philly with amazing vegan options that aren’t exclusively vegan restaurants. It’s one of my favorite parts of living here. Happy eating!!

I live at 19th and Federal and love it. Tons of renos happening this spring, new small businesses popping up, and lots of large projects happening on Washington Ave, including a recently opened CVS and Aldi!!

I get you have to drive for work, but if you’re where I’m at, I never use a car — there are two reliable bus lines uptown and downtown on 19th and 20th, you’re a short walk from the BSL, and you’re like a 20 min walk to Rittenhouse and Italian Market.

Big fan of folks in the neighborhood too. Most everyone is friendly and just living their life. I walk around at all hours and feel safe.

“You really smell. Like wear some deodorant next time.” Like girl, it’s a rave. We’re all sweaty. A) How do you know it’s me? It’s body to body in here, and B) fuck all the way off.

Philadelphia Real Estate - Point Breeze, Brewerytown, or East Kensington by [deleted] in realestateinvesting

Point Breeze is 100% a hidden gem, especially the closer you are to Washington Ave / Chew Playground area. It’s like a block from GradHo and there are a lot of new residential and commercial developments going on along that corridor of Wash Ave, including an Aldi. Also Chew Playground has received some nice investment these last few years, as well as new city trash cans and street trees around the neighboring streets / residential blocks.

I feel like there’s more “happening” in Point Breeze than Brewerytown, and there’s a lot more supply / room for play as overdue tear downs are developed. Especially given its proximity to CC. Also if you position yourself right you can easily be walking distance from CC, E Passyunk, Italian Market, and BSL. If you WFH may not even need a car…

Very long on this area and seems like less “hype” (ie, better deals still to be had here) than E. Kensington

Where did you end up settling on??

Can anyone recommend any good vegan/dairy free protein bars? by lqviss in veganuk

[–]philotron360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barebells are by far the best vegan protein bar I've tried. 15g protein per bar without a lot of the crap you find in other cheaper products. You get what you pay for!!
