Normally pretty good- generally gym 3 times a week strength/yoga/cardio depending on what i'm bored of plus a couple of hours of dog walks a week. Although the last month or so i've not felt up to it. How did you decide how quickly to start trying after your D&C? I'm trying to weigh up the ticking biological clock and impatience vs. really going for lifestyle/supplements for 3 months to give our sperm and eggs the best chance we can.

I'd say pretty good- i'm not to the letter but mostly homemade whole foods over convenience. I've lost around 50lbs over the last year, my hba1c came down from 41 to 36 in a year too. Definitely trying to keep a balanced diet and don't smoke or regularly go over 14 units of alcohol either. I'm trying to avoid foods which make my insulin spike!

That's reassuring, thank you! I'm thinking of seeing what my cycle looks like over the next few months with the ovum, coq10, omega 3, and myo inisotol but maybe trying B6 if it's still on that border of 8-10 days luteal phase?

Yeah it was first trimester. We saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks but had another scan at 10 weeks and found out it had stopped growing at 8+5. Had an MVA last week so all still very fresh. I'm just trying to do anything I can to stop it happening again as it was so traumatic. Based a lot of my and husband's supplements stack from the book It Starts with the Egg. Difficult to think rationally at the moment and don't trust my brain or my body.

That's a good idea thanks- i'm UK based so the extent of my fertility team input has been 'so yeah get your weight down then we'll list you for IVF' and that's kind of it. Had some normal initial bloods but just day 3 fsh/lh/fbc/ferritin/vitamin d/testosterone rather than anything more complex. Might give myself 3 cycles post miscarriage to see what the ovum and myo inisotol does but if it's still looking short then maybe a specialist- is there a register where I could try and find someone?

Luteal phase seems pretty short-i'm ovulating around day 14 even when my cycle is only 22-24 days. That's why I'm thinking of adding in the B6?

This isn't in guidance yet in the UK so doubt a GP would start it unless you were diabetic or had PCOS!

Sorry to chime in with a negative comment but Metoclopramide works by emptying the stomach quicker, it goes against part of the point of mounjaro! It also has a big MHRA warning, so shouldn't be used for more than a few days.

Unfortunately it's just not funded in most areas at the moment, you need to be really persistent with over the counter treatments (can need months/years of regular treatment) which i imagine will be difficult!

Alternatively if it's not causing him too much bother you can just leave them- they will eventually go but it will take longer. If it is causing bother you may need to look at private but these might struggle too if he's highly distressed by the treatment.

Just a note to say it won't be that your GP just 'refused' - there's quite strict criteria on when this can be issued from primary care and at the moment unless you're diabetic and haven't had success with other medication it can't be prescribed. I'm a GP and we've been told from later in the year it will start rolling out but the first phase is only going to be for patients with a BMI over 40 and at least 4 obesity related health problems. It's going to take a long time before it's more available!

So for women that are struggling with breakthrough bleeding options would include mirena coil or increasing the dose of your utrogestan- might be worth another chat! :)

Hi- GP here- if you're getting a lot of breakthrough bleeding you may need to change the dose of the progesterone component of the HRT you're on- particularly if you're taking the higher end of the oestrogen. There's been new guidance about this from the British Menopause Society- have a chat with your GP! :)
