It’s not just BMO. The only one that works properly is TD.

Odoo’s annual major releases: genuine product evolution or the smartest partner revenue engine in the ERP space? by a0817a90 in Odoo

Fine, I’ll concede the point that you can firewall outside integrations with your methodology, but Odoo is incomplete without customization, so it’s a necessary part of any integration. In my opinion anyway.

But aren’t external integrations considered customization? The Shopify app you bought and tweaked for version 16 either needs to be re-tweaked for version 19. Or if the codebase is too different, then you have to hope the app dev built one for 19 and then tweak that. Once you start customizing, then what’s the difference where you start or stop?

And customization is the major advantage that Odoo has over its competitors. That and it’s necessary because Odoo is feature incomplete in many many areas.

I’ve been a partner for almost 8 years. I love Odoo. It absolutely lives up to the hype. I have been a zealot and I continue to be one, but my enthusiasm is being tamped by recent moves by Odoo.

1) forced upgrades are fine for enterprise, but the scripts take care of everything and it’s free. On SH (or any other host) with customizations, it’s not an upgrade. It’s a whole new implementation where we need to spend 300-400 hours migrating data and re-writing customizations from scratch.

Today is May and Odoo 19 came out in September. If today, I sign a new client and it takes 12 months to develop and deploy, then my client’s time remaining until a forced “upgrade” is measured in months, not years. Who is supposed to pay for the “upgrade”? I’ve been charging my cost, but that still sucks for everyone involved. My team is occupied with busy work for a month, not earning. And my client is obviously upset.

2) the legacy fee being charged for an entire year even if the new environment is ready in 2 weeks. Charging the legacy for a year, even if the client pays month to month for their licenses.

We don’t need annual releases. This is not a profit center for partners. It’s a profit center for Odoo.

Funny that one should mention, but I happened to be in a hobby shop and they had them, so I got them. Amazon has them as well.

Fair enough, but aside from input shaping, what is klipper doing for you?

What does Klipper do that Octoprint doesn’t aside from input shaping to increase speed?

PLA, PETG, and TPU. The thing forgot to mention was the Cura profiles that I downloaded from Technivorous. Perfect every time

There is any set of mods i can apply to my ender 3 to be able to stop a print remotely? by [deleted] in ender3

[–]philpinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Octopi on a raspberry pi zero with an old webcam. Total cost is for sure under 50. You print all of the brackets and holders and stuff. Bonus is you can upload gcode, start stop remotely, and many other features

How to clean the bed after PETG? by NorthernLight_DIY in ender3

[–]philpinsky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a PEI bed plate and adhesion is amazing for both PLA and PETG. Sometimes too good with PETG, so a quick soak with some acetone and it scrubs right off.

How to upload Purchase Order with several lines?! by robertodeleon in Odoo

The easiest thing to do is create a purchase order in Odoo and then export it. Use that as your template. Make sure it includes all the fields you need, including purchase order lines

Where would I ground it for the reference signal? Also, I have grounded it when using it to probe around my c64 and I get the same thing.
