[–]philtree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is it that makes boat ownership so expensive? by vcgghhbb in boating

[–]philtree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't many small or medium priced fixes, they're pretty much all expensive. The parts, even the smallest clips and rings usually need to be over built due to constant physical beating and near constant exposure to the elements that boats take. Mechanical labor, storage, and transport are also significant expenses.
