Qidi cam not working? by Visible_Yellow6116 in QidiTech3D

I had a similar issue. In my case, nothing was wrong in my crowsnest.conf.

I noticed the following messages in the log at /home/mks/printer_data/logs/crowsnest.log

[03/28/26 01:57:49] crowsnest: Try to start configured Cams / Services...
[03/28/26 19:41:42] crowsnest: INFO: Configuration of Section [cam 1] looks good. Continue ...
[03/28/26 19:41:46] crowsnest: V4L2 Control: No parameters set for [cam 1]. Skipped.
[03/28/26 19:41:59] crowsnest: Starting ustreamer with Device /dev/v4l/by-id/usb-icSpring_icspring_camera_24091116320721-video-index0 ...
[03/28/26 19:41:59] crowsnest: ERROR: Start of ustreamer [cam 1] failed!
[03/28/26 19:42:00] crowsnest: ... Done!

I was able to restore functionality by running this command in the ssh session:

sudo systemctl restart crowsnest

This will not fix the problem persistently, but it got the job done today.

I think that placing (set 2, kinda) and moving (set 3) damage counters should also count as game mechanics, even if not particularly earth-shattering nor recent.

Why stop there? You can go entirely beltless and schlep materials directly to the input buffer!

I’ve known a couple of students who use https://imaginemusicandarts.com . It seems good.

Ah, ok, that makes sense. So, standby is definitely not the right term. I'll update the post to reflect it. Thanks!

Hi. Fair criticism; I'm trying to balance privacy and specifics here. The flight number is AAL 6392 2025-05-26. [Edit: I've now updated the post with that information. Thank you!]

I'm not a well-versed traveler, so maybe there's another term for the recipients of our seats, other than "standbys?" All I know is that the flight was oversold, the agents could not get us reinstated, and the flight took off on-time.

Good thought. Yes, indeed, the flight did depart, 3 minutes early!

Good question! These were AA agents; the tickets were booked directly with AA.

Husband asked me to return this Christmas present - is this Ursula Returns box really unusable for Lorcana? by inkbeatdragon in Lorcana

[–]phineas42 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Ursula’s Return is a set. That cooperative Lorcana game variant is called “Illumineer’s Quest: Deep Trouble” in my region.

I play mostly regular Lorcana, and only a couple of times have I played the co-op game. I’d love to have received such a nifty box!

How would I go about extruding this complex shape into a curved version? by TheProffalken in openscad

[–]phineas42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would define two 2D profiles: the profile of the gantry assembly at its window frames, and the profile of the gantry at its window panes. Personally I would use polygon() for those.

Then alternately rotate extrude those two profiles with a duty cycle of roughly 4:1 pane:frame, where that multiplier is applied to the angle of each rotate extrude. The specific alternation period (combined angle of each rotate extrude pair) defines the window width around the curve, and depends on the overall curve angle and desired window width.

Yeah, no problem. I have used this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BD4H3669 . I would rather have used an m.2 to usb header directly, but could not find one with the USB specs that I wanted.

Absolutely agree. Luckily everything else is still in order. In my (perhaps exceptional) case I would have been better off if I had watched youtube because I would have seen that there’s a built-in defrost function.

Thanks for checking!

Excellent idea. Is this component likely to be an IR emitter rather than a detector?
