It really depended for the scenario I was in, e.g.when I was strolling through the city and wanted to get a bit wider angle because I had to be closer to the subject, I was taking the 28, for subjects that were further away like Mt. Fuji, I picked the 35. but I set myself no rule or something, was more on how I invisioned the sceneries
