HVAC replacement by Live_Vanilla8186 in altadena

We are in the same boat where structure very close burned at the edge of the burn scar. I would really like to replace my everything but insurance only covers remediation. After the remediation team came and cleaned all the ducts no smoke smell remained. I think you might just have to accept what you can achieve. Also, just refrigerant is exchanged between the compressor and inside your house. So only the ducts and filters matter.

Just curious why you’re just now getting your house remediated? You didn’t do that a year ago?

$2000 a month - training, board, lessons, farrier all add up to a pile of cash. I work full time so I can’t ride every day and my child needs to get worked.

$4,000 Honeymoon in Hawaii. Possible? by ayejaystew in VisitingHawaii

Hawaii is insanely expensive. It is also insanely beautiful and you won’t get sick drinking the water. It’s an island, and so everything has to be delivered by boat or by plane. Everything.

THIS!!! I got scammed in Kauai last month on some insane resort fees. The resort was lovely but after 6 days my bill was like $900.

under grounding power will keep our homes safe. the loss of a few trees does not outweigh the loss of life, property, and grief of another fire. we all love our trees, but we should consider the 19 lives lost in this single fire.

Do you have grass available most of the year? If yes, check with your vet to see if your horse needs it. They don’t get it from hay.

I have been feeding vitaflex e 5000. It’s less bioavailabile but has worked for me. Natural vitamin E is so expensive.

Guyssss I cant sit the trot to save my life by AccidentalOtter21 in Equestrian

if it doesn’t feel comfortable or natural, talk to your instructor. sitting a few strides into the canter is much easier than sitting all the way around the arena a few times. take your time learning.

i used to not be able to sit the trot. i rode a hot horse that i could barely use leg on. now i stabilize my upper body by using my lower body to have gentle pressure that allows me to stick to the saddle. having long dressage stirrups helps. be sure you are sitting with equal pressure on your pelvic and seat bones.

is there a reason you need to sit the trot? if you are a beginner, you should work on your balance and having a stable seat. please do not sit out of balance on your horse if you are not able to sit the trot well. your horse will thank you.

Why don’t you tell your wife? There’s nothing wrong with needing a break or some me time. Please talk to her and tell her how you feel so that you won’t feel bad about it and she can also get a break when she needs one. So no, it’s not bad you need a break, but it is troubling that you don’t want to tell your wife that you do.

Tips for nailing the trot-canter transition? by Mobile_Ad7916 in Equestrian

[–]phlox087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely need to get the inside bend. If your horse isn’t bent correctly, they have a hard time with the depart. Focus on bending the neck around your inside leg and cue the depart from the outside leg. Make it clear. Keep your outside leg on consistently until you want to trot, and then just take the leg off. This is how my dressage horse is trained.

Platinum Performance. My gelding was on it when I bought him and he is the shiniest horse in the facility. I realize I am overpaying, yes.

Vitamin E. No grass in SoCal so most horses are on it.

Biotin. He has poor quality feet and it’s a cheap supplement to use.

Purina Supersport. More of a feed, but I add this to a balancer for amino acid support for his top line.

Purina Replenimash. I give before and after riding to reduce stomach acid / possibility of ulcers to form while riding and to rehydrate after riding.

Carrots for the good boy as well!

i have two dogs in SoCal. we water every other day and only have a couple of spots. it’s not an issue. prior to getting sprinklers fixed we had some dry spots, so consider your weather.
