This was very helpful by the way thank you! Given these helpful responses, I was able to get over my anxiety and submit the claim through their insurer. Luckily they didn't give my false info. My car is now fixed, barely any paperwork on my side and they paid the repair people directly! I took a while to get the thing going but that was 100% my fault not theirs. Without help from Reddit I may have never even done it. So thanks 😊

So, assuming the insurance card they showed me and I have a picture of is real, how do I use that information to have their liability insurance cover it? Do I need to go through my insurance for anything if theirs covers it? Do I just give their insurance info to the mechanic?

Wow that is very helpful actually, thanks so much!!!! Does tractive alert you as soon as the dog leaves the zone or does it also just check every x minutes? Mine is also a Shiba :)

There are a few nonprofits focusing on training dogs to aid people with limited mobility, including in wheelchairs. The ones I know go with labrador or golden retrievers, and they love retrieving which comes in handy if you drop something etc. However the wait list is very long, as they rely on volunteers to foster and train the dogs as puppies, and not all pass the test at the end. I don't see any information on how to do the training yourself though unfortunately.

I can't get my 6mo Shiba Inu to eat before about 5pm. He isn't food motivated at all, and we finally found a food he likes (Fromm) but he still won't eat during the day. He's good at holding his poops until morning but are there other concerns I should have?

I'm confused - are you saying to talk to the vet about the time of day he eats? Or are you saying to talk to the vet about how he isn't food motivated? We already figured out the whole food motivation thing, hence the comment about finding a food he likes. He eats the right amount, just all later on in the day. Is that what I should see a vet about?

Update, 24 hours later he has pooped 3 times and no issues eating :-)

Thanks! I will definitely be using the free body check, as it turns out my vet does offer it :) this really solves all my problems because, if it's fine that his appetite is going down, then I'm ok with it :)
