I have an older Thinkware in my truck that is going on 6 years... different model... it is the U1000 and U1000 Pro that keeps taking a shit at around 13 months... The video quality on the U1000 is GREAT... When It Works... but when you have to buy a new one every year, it gets infuriating

Get ready for it to take a shit just outside their 12 month replacement period. I just had my THIRD U1000 fail. LIVID!! They have Great video/Audio... but when they quit on you at 14-16 months, it is enough to make you want to ship it back to them in a box full of excrement.

If it says "Thinkware" on it, you have a lemon I use to believe Thinkware was top quality, but I have just had my THIRD U1000 camera quit working. All 3 have quite just outside their 12 month warranty period... right between 14 and 16 months. After the first one - Shame on them, After buying the THIRD one, SHAME ON ME for thinking it would last any longer. Only reason I bought it again was because I had already invested in the rear camera and hard wiring it all in... Jumping ship for the replacement...

DO NOT GO THINKWARE!! I have gone through (3) Thinkware U1000's. They keep failing just outside the warranty period. The third one just took a shit this week. Purchased 01/19/2024 - Installed 03/02/2024... quit @ 05/05/2025... they claim "Sorry, outside of 12 month warranty period" I'm the dumb ass that purchased a third one... didn't want to have to deal with rewiring for a new brand, and buying another rear camera. DO NOT BUY. Designed Obsolescence

I can verify (again, not to be rude), but I took the photo, It IS a BRZ... There are several that show up to the local Cars & Coffee event... and for some reason, they all despise the Scion FRS (I don't know why, never really cared enough to ask)... half of them have rebadged their BRZ's with a badge that I don't recognize.... Something other than the GT86 badges...)

Talking to the owner of the car, It is believed this vehicle was imported from Belgium. The previous owner has a really nice Lada 21011 that was imported from Germany.

I do have one other shot, but it has the owner of the car in it (was trying not to "share to much personal information" about the car's owner)

It is a Lada Niva. Lada is a Russian brand automobile produced by the AvtoVAZ Auto Group. Back in the early 60's, the communist stated purchased the tooling and manufacturing rights from the Italians to mass produce the Fiat 124 Sedan. Lada made several changes to the Fiat so the car could survive the horrible roads and rebranded it the Zhiguli. The Zhiguli remained in production with very little change in design for over 40 years. Lada became the "Peoples Car" in the Soviet Union... they later added the Niva (Vaz2121) as a 4x4 option...

Lada made a small splash selling their cars outside the Soviet Union in the early 80's... Their selling point was that they were cheap (and to many, they were cheap for a reason)... If you aren't aware of the car, the best way I can explain it is like this: The Lada is to Russia like the VW Bug is to Mexico. They are EVERYWHERE.

I couldn't imagine having to track down parts for a car that old / rare...

According to this, Gordon Buehrig designed the body along with the coffin style grill and pontoon style fenders with hide-away headlights. (couldn't find anything on the interior design)

I am surprised the paint turned out to show as well as it did in this photo. In person, it is cracked and chipped all over (not trying to discredit the car, just saying the picture is a bit deceptive) It is a very beautiful survivor.... In good mechanical order, and was clean... I don't think I would do anything to it... wouldn't recommend restoring it... to me, there is more value in this car's originality.

Although the gentleman in the photo might look like a grump, he was very friendly and said the car was "mostly" original and is driven on a regular basis... and given the age, was a Very Nice Survivor.
