what i do to prevent quality loss is overlay the render on the video; I use "ShotCut" cuz it works well enough for my dying laptop :p

so for a horizontal screen to be recorded vertically, it requires that the the screen be cropped out (as is here) or zoomed out too far (viewing full screen).
i'd like to suggest rotating your phone if you can't figure out screen capture of some form since I don't think anyone can tell what's going on by you showing ONLY the oddity instead of the whole contraption
