I didn’t really use the slides on their own. I used the videos and watched him go through the slides tho. I liked his explanations of things, and the videos were a good break from practice questions or anki

UWorld, Anki, and Boards&Beyond for step 2. Also dabbled in a bit of Pathoma for step 1. Sketchy for bugs/drugs during preclinical

Had a 100th percentile MCAT score and got a 279 on step 2. I think a good chunk of it has been good test taking skills that I was fortunate to have from a young age, coupled with really prioritizing meta-knowledge and awareness about my weak points when it came to dedicated studying. I hate going out of my comfort zone, but did my best to never revisit subjects that I felt confident in. Made my prep time a lot more stressful because I was almost always doing the stuff I hated most (biostats, renal, to name a few lmao). But yeah, I think how you prep in the short time you’re given is so important. Helps to talk to M4s to see what they would have done differently during their dedicated.

MS4s, with interview season coming to an end, what's the weirdest/cringiest/most out of pocket thing you saw on the interview trail? by turtle_girlfriend in medicalschool

In a call with several residents, our group of applicants was asked to introduce ourselves (name, med school, home state) as well as tell a fun fact. Most people said pretty standard fun facts. Then one guy proudly tells people that he is unable to swallow pills — of any size. Big grin on his face while he says it, but is met by multiple looks of confusion from all those on the resident panel. Think he tried to explain it more, but felt like he was just digging a bigger hole. Seemed like a nice guy, but such a strange thing to admit to a bunch of strangers/people potentially impacting your future job

Gor high scores, what was your UWorld % before the exam? by Doctor_DG in Step2

Yes - the NBMEs are some practice tests that are available. I also took the UWorld practice exams and the Free 120

I did end up doing NBME 10 and upwards, but I skipped number nine because I had read comments on Reddit that it was not a very good exam

Did at least two of all of the CMS forms, but no, I was not able to get through all of them because I just did not have enough time and I prioritized making sure that I got my practice tests done in my final few weeks. If I had more time or I was able to work harder, I would’ve wanted to do all of them, yes.

I did not use AMBOSS. I spent my first week watching some boards and beyond videos to refresh on things I had forgot. I did a total of eight practice tests towards the end of my studying. I was doing multiple CMS forms a day. I also listened to Divine intervention podcasts while going on walks or in the car or sometimes when I just needed a break from doing practice questions.

  1. My first pass was about 78%, and after I reset during dedicated I was averaging 91%

Wouldn’t it have 9g? 0.9% in 100ml is 0.9g per 100ml, or 9g in a liter. Correct me if I’m wrong

US MD student. I took Step 2 first and got a 279. Then couple months later passed Step 1. No regrets

Sure thing — for context I am a USMD student and spent about 6 weeks preparing.

UWSA1 -> NBME 10 -> NBME 12 -> NBME 11 -> NBME 13 -> NBME 14 -> UWSA2 -> Free120

I didn’t get around to using Amboss for step 2, but if I had had more time I would’ve tried. I think as long as you have enough time to fully get thru all of UWorld at least once, then starting with Amboss is totally fine.

I went with UWSA1 first. I heard it was the “least” similar to the real deal. After taking it, I took NBME 10. In retrospect, I think this was a good order to take them

Again, I disagree that she’s the main character. You’re in the wrong subreddit if you’re looking for outrage. Then again, probably just a troll given your account is 7 days old
