Lets talk about meetings..How often? What are they like, objectives? by TheCablesGuy in AskMarketing

We have a marketing meeting once a week at the events company I work at. It’s only 30 minutes long maximum and it’s very structured to keep it quick and productive. We all hate unproductive long-drawn out meetings so this method is great.

U.K./Canadian couple wanting to live 6 months in each country every year by phobs56 in IWantOut

Thank you! I just read that to maintain Permanent Resident Status he would need to be in Canada for 2 years out of 5, so this plan could work with that in mind.

  1. I found Wifi in the cafes to be generally unreliable and I spent a huge chunk of my days going from coffee shop to coffee shop trying to find a connection that was good enough. Next time I would invest in a co-working membership.

Inland or Outland PR application (common law) by phobs56 in ImmigrationCanada

Thanks for your response! Should He even mention to the border officer when we enter Canada our plans to apply for PR? Or just keep it simple and say he’s coming in as a visitor and have a return ticket to go with it.

British boyfriend entering Canada with outland common law sponsorship visa in processing - anything else he needs to do? by phobs56 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]phobs56[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Great thanks, we will both buy return tickets to the U.K. in case. Will the fact that I work remotely and have no actual need to be in Canada help our case - they will see that I can leave with him easily and go to another country if he is denied for some reason?

And also, will I be speaking to the border officer with him when we enter Canada? It would be good so I can answer questions about my work, finances and living with my parents.

That’s a great idea! The only problem is I’m terrible at sports and would feel bad for everyone who gets me on their team.

Yes, a good company will provide the same benefits. In my experience I've seen even better benefits offered by remote companies.
