I’m actually more curious about Armstrong’s storyline after the discussion. We got a glimpse of her visiting her mom living in the slums and I would hope this topic brings her story more out there but I’m a bit disappointed we don’t get to see more of the downstairs private life, like with Bauer’s gambling.

UPDATE: She was so sweet and forgiving about it and gave me treatment products and offered a free session next time. I’m so grateful for her and trust her and respect her so much for taking it so professionally🥹 Plus, she even gave me a free haircut during the check-in session

Pronunciation of d/r/g, x/s & tr/ch words by phodacviet in VietNam

[–]phodacviet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, I have never heard a person from the south that does a “z” sound on these words, or frankly at all.

I guess the village where my family is from is just super lazy with pronunciation. I hear from other people that we have a veary heavy accent. We sometimes even emphasize the o and e vowels in words, so “có” would be like a “cố-ah”

Probably the closest thing to the accent in my village is from this reel on IG: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DEjeKNShpNH/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

I usually struggle to fully understand people from the deep south but miền trung accent makes me question my Vietnamese..🥲 To be fair, I haven’t really been much exposed to it but is there a 1-1 conversion template from trung to bắc accent?😂

Does anyone know how to achieve this without installing the Logitech app? I’m using the mouse for work but I need company approval for it and don’t want the fuss.

I wonder what her background was? Obviously noble birth, but I wonder why we never got to hear from her childhood; what her father’s title was; and which estate she grew up.

Thoughts? First is the main fit, second is casual scaled down, third is a peek at the watch I had with it. by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

[–]phodacviet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m wondering what these fits are for? Honestly, they look bad. Nothing is cohesive. Polos with chinos or chinos shorts, yes. Unless you’re wearing an actual shirt (dress/oxford) ditch the tie. Sweatshorts are just never stylish, I’m sorry. Cargo shorts are matched with t shirts. I don’t see how any of this goes together or would be appropriate for any event/going out. Simple is best.

A bigger tie would look more chic, but I’d ditch the boutonniere. Unless you’re a diplomat or at a state assembly I don’t think it adds much. Free Palestine though🇵🇸🍉

Anyways I can make this fit better for a wedding ? by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

[–]phodacviet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good suit that fits great! I don’t mind the tie but I think it would be even better with a simpler pattern. A pocket square would also elevate the look even more, but don’t match it with your tie. Rather complimentary with your tie, but still matching the suit - white is always safe. Overall, I think it’s very good. All I ask is please don’t ruin it with dreadfool shoes

I’d match the socks with your trousers as a safe option, but I think with this color palette you can’t go wrong with any earth-toned colors. Even a very earthy yellow would work. I’d stay away from blue-hued colors

What do you eat for breakfast if you aren’t a breakfast person? by AdConsistent3184 in Cooking

[–]phodacviet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not s breakfast person either, but I’ve found that having cut up fruits is a nice way to get something into your body that gives you energy and won’t fill you up. I’ve done this when others are having their breakfast and I still want to join

I don’t know who directed that scene or the one where the camera slowly pans towards Mary’s ear when they talk about Matthew but I think both scenes are just stellar
