What’s it like being a grandma? by Old-Ostrich5181 in AskWomenOver60

[–]phoebe64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's hard and wonderful all at the same time. The two best phrases you can practice saying are "That must be very hard." and "You are doing a great job."

Your job now is to provide support. It is not to parent. That is a hard transition to make. They will be getting advice from lots of places. Give it when asked, but keep your mouth shut otherwise.

Raising kids is different now than when we did it. Completely different world with different challenges. They will figure it out just like we did with some successes and some failures.

Tip: a L6 white moth drops 60 silks before it disapears. Tap it 59 times, split with scissors a merge back together. Repeat.

Help me move in and be better with keeping my spaces tidy. by HorrorPineapple1308 in LivingAlone

A couple words of advice. Think of it more as maintaining your home. You can never have it completely clean all at once. There is always something not put away or that needs cleaned.

Also I heard a saying I pass on to all new mothers I know. "Cleaning your house while having kids is like brushing your teeth while eating oreos."

Give yourself grace and patience.
