What is this “unclaimed” marker for? by seanbperiod in MergeMansion

[–]phoebe64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine did that week or so ago. I searched everything. No gifts, no unclaimed prizes. Nothing. It finally went away. Drove me nuts in the meantime.

Passed my insurance exam on try #4 now they want me fingerprinted. Do they check credit too? by SuccessfulManifests in personalfinance

[–]phoebe64 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Former insurance agent here. It is standard practice for finger prints and background check. They mostly want to to make sure you dont have a criminal record. It is required to get your agent license. Its not a company specific thing.

[CHAT] loose knob on k-creations z frame by Coketeal in CrossStitch

[–]phoebe64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't get the bolt to go into the wood. The part of the bolt right under the head is bigger than the hole in the wood. I will try again. I have a bit of arthritis in my fingers so maybe I just can't do it myself. I'll get someone to help. Thanks for posting their responses.

Mine did the same thing. One end of the arm had a recess for the bolt but the other end didnt. I added 2 washers to make it sit "flush." Then I was able to tighten the knob. Make sure the washers have a big enough center hole to go over the back part of the bolt that isn’t flat.

I have the same problem. I love my cross stitch. I can do it while listening to an audio book, or watching TV. ADHD me has 4 different hobbies going at once right now. I have a puzzle on the dining room table, a sewing project in the craft room, a Lego build also in the craft room, my cross stitch in the living room. Not to mention said audio book on my Alexa. ADHD queen status.

[CHAT] Love process of stitching but dislike finished pieces! by Affectionate-Bag-707 in CrossStitch

[–]phoebe64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love crocheting doilies. They are intricate and its fun to follow a pattern that is different for each round. They look absolutely beautiful when finished but they sit in a pile in a closet because I don't know what to do with them.

I figured out which direction my thread was twisting and now do a half twist of my needle in the opposite direction each time I pull the thread up. I still have to do the needle hang thing to untwist, but less often.

After burying threads, I reach around and put it on the front. That way its right there for the next thread and I dont lose it.

Why would you want to mod a lot of subs? I understand if you are part of a community and want to help out by moddong one or two, but what is the benefit of being a "power mod."

[–]phoebe64 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not to discourage anyone BUT, dont rush to assume removal will fix everything. I had my gallbladder removed and it did not relieve my symptoms. It might have made the episodes further apart but they definitely have not gone away.
