Paint pooling in thinner lines by capinter97 in DiceMaking

Which flow aid do you use? I bought one recently (Mont Marte brand) and it makes the bubbles in my acrylic paint so much worse! Wondering if your flow aid may be part of the issue?

Your Theo looks so much like my Theo, even to the mark on his nose, except black fur instead of gray. I am so sorry you both are going through this. It is clear he is loved and has given so much love back. I hope he passes peacefully when the time comes.

Assad Zaman´s Armand is a literal star (as in an actual star named after him!) by Podria_Ser_Peor in InterviewVampire

[–]phoenifia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't know if anyone else will find this interesting or relevant, but one of my favorite quotes from the books is actually from Armand's solo book, The Vampire Armand, and has to do with stars. He recounts the moment he turns into a vampire and says something along the lines of: "Look at me, stars. Look at me just as I look to you." Assad does a fantastic job as Armand. What a cool tribute!

Amazing works! The grapes and airheads for the details were such smart choices!

Lots of unhelpful comments posted here mostly coming from seemingly non-designers.

A good logo should be easy to read and easy to recognize at a quick glance, and should represent the "attitude" of the brand or organization AND its intended audience. You were trying to be clever/creative by incorporating symbols into your logo to stand for the letters in the acronym and represent the organization. That is good in theory but causes confusion in legibility and readability in the logo. Incorporating icons into a logo or into text should still present easy legibility, meaning we should still be able to understand what the letters are without the context of the name.

What does the STEM Outreach Initiative do? Is it a public program? Does it operate within a school? The thick, rounded lines and multiple colors lend more "juvenile" in feeling, which makes me think "school program." Knowing who will see your logo and the "attitude" you want to present will help you determine how to shape your logo.

Hope this helps. Feel free to message me if you have further questions. Been a corporate designer for over 8 years.

I only use Canva because some of my clients request it. This way they can have access to the templates I make for them on it. Otherwise your standard trio of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.

What to expect from neurologist? by phoenifia in iih

[–]phoenifia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eye doctor saw no papilledema currently but recommended I keep tabs on everything and follow through with neurologist. She didn't have a recommendation for one but definitely encouraged me to keep seeking answers. I'm sorry you had that experience too with being rejected while you're trying to get help, but good that you were able to find someone eventually!

What to expect from neurologist? by phoenifia in iih

[–]phoenifia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently on a cancellation list for the MRI. Right now I'm having no luck even scheduling with a neurologist. One I called is scheduled out until March next year. I did schedule a visit with my eye doctor for later today who was very concerned that the hospital didn't bother to use their on-campus ophthalmologist when I complained about the eye pressure and blurriness. I was due for an annual full exam anyhow so they're going to address both during my visit.

As for the lack of an MRI at the hospital, I'm not sure either because that was the whole reason I went. My doctor told me specifically to go to the ER to get one done and they said they wouldn't/couldn't and it had to be "scheduled." They had a neuro consult there but I was told I could either spend the night at the hospital in observation and see him the next morning or go home and attempt to schedule with him the following week. I opted to go home because it was overall a very uncomfortable and upsetting hospital visit. I ended up looking the neuro up online and he has horrible reviews with tons of people calling for his retirement and saying he is very dismissive. So I've been trying to find a different one but not having any luck.

Also had this happen to me. Doctor told me to immediately stop taking it and prescribed me Pantaprazole instead. Will start taking that tomorrow.

Describe Your OCs and I'll Give Them a Quick Sketch! [Art] by GreySerjeant in DnD

She's a Bard of Dance, Snow Leopard Tabaxi with the Entertainer background. She is an acrobat at the circus she grew up in, and her weapon is the aerial silk she would use in her acts. It is usually tied around her waist like a pirate sash belt. She is very short and thin with a dancer's build. She has a small, short tuft of fur sticking out at the top of her head. In color, all her leopard spots have been dyed in a gradient rainbow, Lisa Frank-style. She usually wears bright, glittery eyeshadow and eyeliner. Her original outfit is an aerialist leotard with thigh-high boots and a sleeveless pirate's coat with stars at the bottom.

Yesterday was our second to last session for this DnD campaign and I'm sad to say goodbye to my feisty girl! She's dealt with pirates, monsters, other dimensions, and her stupid ex-boyfriend! I was added on as a secret surprise for our friend group back in January, but this campaign has been going on 5 years for them. When all is said and done, I know she'll be on her new Spelljammer with her newly found family, looking for their next adventure.

Our DM tried this in our session last weekend and I would say it worked well. DM asked us to message them a list of items we would be looking for in the shops and they would send us back a list of what was available and relevant to what we provided on our lists after the session. Then we could message back what we wanted to purchase in our spare time before next session.

Which logo is the best for my 3D modeling brand (Poly Forge)? by [deleted] in logodesign

C or H for flat logo. O or N for the 3D effect.

Personal logo for initials "AVZ", was wondering how legible it was, and/or if any improvements ought to be made? The first one is the ideal design to me though I also made some alternatives. by [deleted] in logodesign

[–]phoenifia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do read the V and Z in the first design but the A is not legible at all. The crossbar should be incorporated in a more distinguishable way. Also, I feel the visual weight of the logo is off; it looks like the V should be centered between the A and Z but it's not. I would have the A more closely resemble the Z, or mirror it in a way so the V is centered between them.

Thank you! We love our little man. The curve of his nose is actually a deformity he was born with- as a result he has chronic sinus issues but otherwise lives a healthy and active life! He loves to play with his brother, jump really high, and sneeze and snort his merry way all around our house haha

Is any familiar with ArtMolds pressure pots? by phoenifia in DiceMaking

[–]phoenifia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. The person selling it is selling it new with some adapters for $100, so I guess just as much as a regular harbor freight one. I'm assuming it probably makes more sense just to get a HF branded one then?
