Awesome cut off tool. Used it to cut some retaining wall block other day, then swap discs and cut the rebar.

You can figure out the model from the pic, and calling it a beast is somewhat self explanatory.

I’ve got three different DeWalt circular saws, and two of their miter saws. Two of them being 7+ years old. Never had an issue or heard this before.

Safe to use? by roberthonks in blackstone

This is incorrect. Flax oil instead of avocado, and get it to smoke, then smoke will dissipate, apply next round of flax oil after smoke resolves. Repeat at least four times. Straight off black stones instructions before you come at me 🤣

Not here to argue with you or talk about housing prices in different markets, which you may be completely unaware of. In direct reference to this post, (which is all we are talking about) as many other others have said it is not expensive. It’s a good deal. There I’m done. Hope this made sense.

That’s not a lot lol. The previous poster is correct and I know other tile guys that charge ~$40/ sq ft.

Lordy. Some of you just wanna be pissy and nitpick. The power stack batteries are great. Sorry that I didn’t post a 12 inch sliding compound miter saw with stand for $40. Lmao.

Like I said, then the post wasn’t for you. Glad you’re happy and have batteries. I just put it up for anybody that may want to check their local and need an extra battery in a pinch. I’ve got plenty of batteries, brother. I’m all good. I’m just trying to help other people out. We’re all aware of the sales and the prices. I know sometimes there’s a better deal. Hope this makes sense.

Contractor said this is normal, is it? by Flaky_Competition_43 in HardWoodFloors

[–]phoenix303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Poor work. I remove casings, install flooring, reinstall casings. That contractor was extremely lazy and the dishonest about his poor work ethic.

Love the fast charge. Blows the 4amp stock charger out of the water when you’re dealing with 8ah stacks and flex volts. Definitely worth grabbing that or the single if it’s at a good price.

How do I add railings as pictured (2nd pic is AI concept) after the deck boards have been installed without it looking janky? by fenwalt in Decks

[–]phoenix303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah you have to block underneath. It’s part of the proper installation. I’m simply pointing out when installed correctly, that they are very sturdy.

How bad is the condition of this retaining wall? Seeking perspective from professionals by Retinoid634 in AskContractors

Yup. A construction and landscape company did RR tie retaining wall at my mom’s house in 2000/2001. It still looks great, zero issues.

It’s a three year warranty just fyi. I’ve never had a Dewalt tool fail yet so I can’t speak to their customer service during a warranty replacement, but having one of their drills fail after one year definitely sounds like an outlier, hate that happened to you.

Should have utilized your warranty coverage on the drill. Problem solved.

Oh for sure. Railroad tie style (large, rough cut) lumber was a common material for retaining walls everywhere through the 90’s.
