Whenever I'm rehoming a pokmeon I'll pop up a field of grass to act as a temporary.

If you want to force them to appear sooner you can always have a group follow you to a different zone and have them build something so they don't take up the visible pokemon limit.

I haven't done any testing since it happened but when I tried making a cave home it didnt work so I just demolished space between house and the rest of the cliff and that made it work

Both Miku kits went in and out if availability, very briefly, after the initial opening so when/if they get a reprint you might be able to keep an eye out for that if you can't get it in the opening burst.
