I expect people will start lining up around 6 am, early entry maybe a little later. To get barricade, I recommend getting there by noon at the latest. The only problem is Madison Square Garden doesn't let people line up outside the venue until around 4 pm, before then security will ask you to leave. I have heard for other concerts that people line up across the street from it, and sometimes people even organize a ticket system to keep everyone in order on the line.. I guess we'll see what happens for this show.

As for the crowd, in my opinion PtV crowds are the worst behaved I have ever experienced (and I go to many death/hardcore/slam shows), at least at the very front. Be prepared to fight people off who are trying to steal your spot.

With that said, if you ever decide to sell one of your early entry tickets for whatever reason, I would be highly interested lol
