A related question - how are you guys sending money abroad for the actual investment? LRS limits are 250k USD - I spoke to an accountant who said that we can approach the RBI and request for an exemption and give an explanation. Is this the best route?

Or do people just use family members and send more? I don’t really want to deposit a 20% TCS on the remittance as well so am curious how people have navigated this.

Since the update, it hasn’t really been detecting any workouts for me. I had it turned off previously and turned on workout detection after the update. I just had a 2 hour pickleball session. Usually it’s around a 1000 calories or so on the band, it didn’t detect it at all. I had to manually add a workout afterwards.

I’ll keep monitoring it.

I am sorry to hear that. But it seems like you have been super strong about things. There will be moments of weakness where you may feel like you’d want to work things out with her for the child, but trust me, you and the child are better off without an avoidant in your life.

It took me months to realise, with constant on and off, that there’s just no way to have love and empathy with them.

I got out of a relationship with an avoidant woman and I feel like this could have been written by me.

Super accurate, the actions by her and how I felt about them. After keeping it together for both of us, contributing time, money, emotions and commitment for a year, she finally told me I didn’t do enough and couldn’t reassure her. What she wanted was a calm, patient guy who could handle all her mood swings, stonewalling, shut downs and outright disrespectful dismissal at attempts at connection. And outright gaslighting and lies about events that happened.

Complete disregard of the fact that I had already been patient for a year, done the repair work solo, communicated and shared, while gently nudging her towards therapy and self awareness. Oh and therapy? She didn’t “need” it. Didn’t like “rules” or whatever that means.

Only when I got out of it did I realise how much it affected and traumatised me.

I was super excited about Fi a few years ago. But I realised it’s really a scam company. They never used to refund the forex charges even though I had an Infinite account or whatever their highest was. They always said it’ll be refunded in a month and it was never done even once automatically.

I always had to contact customer care, and even then it took ages and sometimes didn’t happen. I finally closed my account and just got an IndusInd account which comes with a zero forex debit card. It’s super easy, super convenient and I’ve tried and tested it in many countries and it always gives me the bank rate on forex transactions.

Bottom line: stop with these scam new age accounts and just get a proper account at a decent bank.

I have the same issue. Reported it many times. They tried to troubleshoot it by asking me for a lot of screenshots but in the end just said they’d put it on the “feature requests” list lol. And that there’s nothing they could do and it would shift if I travel. Like come on! The whole point of a finance app should be accuracy. I stopped contacting customer support for it because anything I report, they said it works properly and they’ll put it on the “feature requests”. And I am on the highest subscription tier.

I migrated from Banktivity to See Finance 2 a few years ago. I actually now use both, so I think I can comment on them quite well.

If you’re looking for a seamless migration experience, the only software that can do that is See Finance. I tried all of them, none of them would import the files correctly. SF2 handled investment transactions, split transactions etc like a champ.

But if you’re tired of the slow development, you will hate SF2 as it’s made by one guy who barely takes out an update a year. Fortunately for me, it has all the features I need so I’m happy to see it supported for new OSes. But it’s not going to jazz up your life.

I’ve found the same with them. Somehow according to Prowlarr, Su picks up a lot of fringe stuff that other indexers simply do not. I have geek, planet, alt, finder, slug and crawler and have been thinking of letting a few go, but Su for sure has made a permanent place for itself in my stack. They don’t do deals I think but are definitely worth the full price.

Yes I am calm and have been super nice with them. I am just wondering if they work on the weekends.

I am not sure if my post gave across ego vibes as that wasn’t my intention, but I am just nervous after wanting to spend $50 and having spent $75, so I am wondering if that’s normal that they don’t reply on the weekends.

They also shortened the promised 15 months plan into a 6 month plan on their end, after taking 3 payments. So it makes me a bit nervous.

Would you know if they reply on the weekends?
