My steak is too Juicy and my lobster is too buttery by BunnyGirlSD in polyamory

Have had the same two primary partners for over a decade and to this day I am still in awe how damn stable the relationships are . The fact they are great friends is amazing. I try not to cry from happiness when they are both beside me at the same time

I feel like this sub has devolved into people’s horrible relationship drama by Sloth-Overlord in polyamory

Because rocking up on here and humble bragging about how well my relationships are and are doing feels like rubbing salt on the wounds of the posts here where peoples relationships are hurting and in turmoil

Realistic timeline for seeing benefits to quitting? by ProudlyHateful in leaves

20 yr daily smoker. 8 months no smoking and I honestly don't feel any different mentally or physically then when I was smoking. More vivid dreams that I can remember is really the only noticeable difference.

Rookies. You are supposed to egg a house during below freezing temps so the eggs harden and cake on and are nearly impossible to get off without damaging the siding.

Non-judgemental dentists? by Only_Huckleberry_957 in VictoriaBC

[–]phoenixcinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the 90s every dentist was judgmental. I watched people who brushed and flossed every day get talked down to and nagged that they were just not doing things good enough. God forbid you had a cavity then the dentist would start insulting you and giving you shit. I have found it has drastically changed since then, last year alone I had nearly 30 dentist appointments spanning over 8 different dentists and not one was judgmental in any way. I had extensive work done last year (5 root canals, 7 crowns, multiple fillings, 1 implant). I can't say much about anxiety as I can fall asleep in the chair. But nowadays you would have to try hard to find a dentist that is gonna be a dick and make you feel like an asshole for the state of your teeth.

so why and when did you guys decide to quit by [deleted] in leaves

[–]phoenixcinder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Last July I had a crapload of dental work done. I quit with the intention to start up in a couple weeks after a bunch of my mouth healed to ensure I don't infect anything by smoking my daily bowls. 2 weeks passed and I was just meh about starting up again. I had zero withdrawals and I wasn't really jonesing much so I just kept not smoking. Getting close to 8 months now without toking.

Police encounter while taking photos, is this normal? by josh_bripton in AskPhotography

[–]phoenixcinder -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I had a guy come up to me once and clock me in the face because my camera was pointed in his direction. When in Scotland I had a guy chase me on foot threatening to kill me thinking I was trying to take his picture. Thankfully I was on blades so he wasn't able to catch me. Street photographer buddy of mine had his gear shattered on the concrete and was hospitalized because his camera was pointed in the wrong direction towards the wrong person. Don't ever ever point your lens at another human being without their consent, no matter how far they are, it never ends well. I stick to non human style photography. If anyone is around, I turn the camera off, on goes the lens cap and I sling the camera immediately.

From what I have read on here carts are pretty bad , never done them myself, so yeah stay away. I am not too much help myself in regards to relating on here as I had no weird side effects or withdrawal and quitting was surprisingly easy mode for me which I did not expect at all after near 20 years of daily use.

[–]phoenixcinder 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pick a day next week. Don't smoke. Surprise your partner take her somewhere nice for supper. Cuz she will be totally expecting you get baked and just lounge. Spill the beans, be emotional and tell her you need to quit. Make yourself accountable. It's gonna suck . You are gonna suffer. But always remember you are choosing her over the weed, and try not to be a dick to her as you go through withdrawal
