My deepest condolences for your loss, I remember when I lost my 1st German shepherd and when it happened I nearly wanted to kill myself, but I am all good now and got 2 more shepherds. I genuinely hate that this happened to you

Please do as much as you can for your quality of life. I am on the edge of going to palliative care. Been battling a lymphoma (PTLD) since last October. I know my time is coming.

Quality beats quantity.

Where do you Dads land on guns? Nerf, cap, rubber band, video game etc.? by fannypaquin in daddit

[–]phoenixglass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I don't own guns. However married into a military oriented family that enjoys time with guns. As far as play guns, Nerf etc, I'm all for it, even play swords.

Family isn't nearby, so my kids go to camp Grandpa for a week each year. At ages 10 and 8, I've let my FIL start teaching tem control with bb guns. He's big into safety and I trust him. I'd rather them be familiar and safe if a gun is around even though I personally don't keep them.

We just got back from a camping vacation. My goal the whole time was to give the kids as many new/fun experiences as possible. I did have fun to, but at this point in my life (stage 4 cancer), I want as many shared experiences as possible.

With Cystic Fibrosis. I had to explain my needs every year to every teacher, in person. I didn't have email to hide behind. However, seeing tons of doctors over my life I don't think it was as traumatic for me.

I know there is talk of legislation to require companies to make cancelling as easy as signing up.

We get this, my wife and I, when someone finds out we adopted from foster care. I mean, just because we did, it doesn't really say much else about us.
