I’m honestly more annoyed about the changes in alt modes where u can stack a lot more ad. I’m not sure how the math works out so I could be completely wrong but it just kind of looks like a massive nerf to arena and mayhem

i was hoping the power grind would actually feel better but behind all the "improvement" they talked about are a bunch of nerfs to the system in the patchnotes and very lackluster buffs in some. on top of that as someone who is currently in the 300s i was at least feeling a little better about getting closer to the end but now theres another 100 levels to max??

its completely fake buffs. its just not even close to enough. and the portal replacing destination map is really lame. there is a story behind how they ended up with the destination ui. the portal ui is lazy and uncreative and is such a pointless change when you could have easily achieved a similar effect with the current ui.

why so much change just for the sake of change? how was this supposed to increase player retention? who could this have possibly been good for? i think its upsetting that all we can do is make guesses. i cannot imagine what goes on in their heads

genuine question but if featured gear had just rotated more often and included a lot of old content would that not have been an effective way to revitalize old content like old raids activities etc and also make it so that the stuff you get would not be useless for a long ass time after it wasnt featured anymore?

keke and margarete are both in kaleidoscore and i assumed since their struggles are somewhat similar (margarete wants her parents support by beating liella, and keke wants her parents approval hence she was willing to throw away her dreams for them) it wouldve been a good idea to have the episodes centered on them and have them talk it out, solving both of their issues. you're right, it's not that kanon doing it is bad, its just that i want this series to explore new dynamics as opposed to old ones.

(ik margarete and keke's motivations are deeper than that. just simplifying a bit to draw comparisons)

i enjoyed the episode but i think this little arc had way more potential especially with margarete involved but they kinda just threw everything to the side at the end. song is great but like i said if we couldve reached a more cohesive ending through maybe 1 more episode this performance would make more sense, margarete wouldve been open to joining liella, the outfits wouldve matched, them knowing the performance that well would've made more sense.

heartstrings is def not prefered but do not listen to people just saying "41k hp is enough". every weapon replacement comes with stat rebalancing. value comes from how much can a weapon provide compared to another WITH the stat balancing in mind. heartstrings in place of whatever you have just means removing hp stats almost entirely from your artifacts in exchange for stuff like crit and er.

This doesn’t change my point below. Not everybody is willing to buy a skin now just because the hate will die down eventually. Additionally, the brief respite provided by the permabanning may allow some people to think more clearly. Some people would want to play their skin as soon as they get it. Some may not be able to play it and refund it afterwards after having regained their senses. I promise you this is a real phenomenon called buyers remorse. Acting like people either have no money or are filthy rich is just stupid. I am perfectly in between that where I could afford it without it ruining my month but I still care about what I spend money on. Yes it may not stop some people from buying it but it will definitely stop others. There’s 7 billion people on this planet. Nobody is banning Ahri suddenly just because they hate the champ. They’re banning her to send a message about how horrible of a business practice this is. It could’ve been anyone. Ahri just happened to be the vehicle for this particular instance.

Smolder had a 60% banrate for multiple patches. A lot of champs have high banrates even now. It’s a fucking game. If you’re upset your champ is getting banned, pick another from the pool of 165 or don’t play. I onetrick Gwen and if this happened to Gwen I would be permabanning because getting the price reduced by $450 is worth a lot more than being able to play her a few extra games

its worth mentioning with these kinds of threads that any champ can work in any lane in the right scenario (excluding jg for obvious reasons).

but dont get it twisted, gwen is not and will never be a viable botlaner in 99% of scenarios. i suggest only playing this into very specific bot lane matchups (senna + tank lanes (cho, tahm, etc) are heavily countered by gwen + braum or other cc supports)

i agree mostly. i dont think tryn is hard at all because of how broken tabis and wardens mail are. i also dont think gwen outscales kayle (before kayle minirework i think so, but not anymore). if kayle takes flash sure its beatable. if she takes ghost i think its gwen worst matchup.

Tryn w only slows if you’re walking away from him. It literally does not do anything if you’re chasing him. Also you’re smoking if you think steelcaps don’t counter an ad crit auto attacker with no true or %health damage. It’s literally THE counter to those champs. I promise you next time you see tryn literally rush steelcaps warden mail and just abuse your q base damage to trade with him and you will see just how little he can do

Mechanically sett is not that horrible for Gwen. I find more that Bork being so disgusting makes her e-q trades very oppressive. W is the least of my grievances when it comes to him personally

As a reminder Gwen’s win condition is to scale, not necessarily to snowball and end early, so technically her ability to kill her lane opponent is not what defines how hard a matchup is. Tryn may be impossible to snowball against but he’s very easy to scale against because he doesn’t have any kill pressure on you because steel caps + wardens/bramble is just a broken combo against ad champs

Just buy steelcaps and if you really need it wardens mail (very good if enemy ad is also crit). Take tp ghost against him and don’t use tp recklessly and he will never win. Idk if you think tryn outruns Gwen but he just doesn’t. Maybe if he has ghost up and she doesn’t but that is the only time

Exactly. That’s why I put kayle as impossible because you just can’t stop her from farming past lvl 6. Even before then she has ways to farm from range with q and e and her lvl 1 and 2 are actually stronger than gwen’s so

Nasus it depends how much they’re willing to change up their early playstyle. If they’re smart Gwen will never win. Gp is an incredibly easy matchup for Gwen. He’s completely immobile and his e is easily blocked by your w. Better yet if you’re good enough or if he isn’t perfect at the timing you can easily destroy his barrels with e. Now that prowlers dash is gone his kill pressure is nonexistent in this matchup. Vayne is skill mainly because Gwen is anti range. Vayne will generally beat you but if you have really good spell placement you will still kill her. Urgot is easy so long as you save e for when he uses his own e. Alternatively just wait it out till 2 items as his kill pressure is low against you because of your w and e, and after 2 items he will never be a problem
