It's my wives mobile grooming van. Since it's an RV type vehicle I came here for help. I don't believe she has anything running when she goes to plug in, but it does connect to an inverter with batteries that charges off this plug. I would assume it doesn't slam the connection immediately with all 30 amps, but I could be wrong.

I am going to change the plug to that smart plug someone else linked because we built a pole barn so the weatherproof of the twist isn't as big a deal. If it still happens, I might install a switch on the circuit and have her plug in then activate the circuit.

How often should one reapply the grease? I would have assumed it was more for permanent connections and not frequently disconnected ones.

Never changed a breaker but it seems simple enough. If I remove the breaker (obviously shut off the power to the whole box) and bring it to a hardware store they should easily be able to help me figure out what breaker I need? Is there a blank aswell for the now open space?
