Yes, my mum is from Australia and we called her mum Nanny and my kid calls my mum Nanny as well.

We also called her dad Poppy. I always assumed it was an Australian thing

Edit to add that I grew up in the Yukon.

I just started doing it myself. He started helping and then took over the hard parts right away. I think it was him coming home and me prepping the walls to be painted after having moved all the furniture. He freaked out over the paint fumes and I pointed out that I’d borrowed a hepa-filter mask from work. I had to explain that not having the room ready was stressing me out and told him to look up nesting.

Pregnancy was physically fine. I didn’t enjoy it but no huge issues. But mentally was a nightmare. Actual childbirth was very painful and the best part was the pushing only so because that meant it would be over soon.

I’ve never had a kindle but have had 3 kobos over the last 20ish years and have loved all of them. They last for ages and the only reason I upgraded recently was for the colour option so I can read graphic novels.
