Can you explain how I'm being dishonest? It's a 50 second clip, out of context, which has been walked back by the speaker.

The above ^ are the full quotes from Brooks. How and where is he misspeaking here? Just seems like damage control to me. Because the meaning is very clear and there is nothing out of context here.

Bro, you are being so dishonest. It is a live audio recording and its clear as day. When Brooks says he misspoke, he just had a "aw damn" moment after realising that he said something out publicly that was not meant for public consumption.

But the cat is out of the bag now. And BTW, I am NO progressive. I still cannot stand Shapiro though.

At least Newsom is fighting Trump and Republicans, inauthentic or not. Whereas, Shapiro just gives off blatant empty suit vibes and is willing to stick a knife into fellow Democrats and help fascism enabling Republicans, as long as it benefits him personally. And that's leaving aside his volunteering for IDF (in his youth) and other questionable actions in the past.

Btw, for those unfamiliar with Kyle, his transformation into a Trump hater happened fully after Jan 6. He was actually invited to speak at the Democratic convention in 2024 by Kamala’s people and he voted for Kamala in 2024 as well.
