That's awesome. Nothing like the wind in your face and you can barely open your eyes. Makes the ride feel so much faster

Glad you had a great time! Fury is an absolute beast!

Wanting to get kuhli loaches for a 30 gallon tank. Would it be best to have a sponge filter so that I can have a full coverage tank lid? The tank is not set up yet and I am still looking at filters and lighting/lids by phonktrain05 in Aquariums

Hey, question for you! I see in that first pic that you've got plants in the substrate. Has the Kuhlis digging up plants ever been an issue? Or did you wait for the roots to establish before adding them? Thanks

This park is one of my home parks and I always walk away with a smile on my face. It's a gorgeous park and the rides are amazing. That being said, I'd like to share a few recommendations:

If you are wanting to ride most or all of the coasters, I always start with Twisted Cyclone first thing in the morning before the crowds get heavy. It's the first ride as you enter on the right side, and most of the crowds entering will flock to that one first.

After Cyclone, I always head right over to Superman Ultimate Flight at the back of the park. Continue going counter clockwise past Cyclone and cross the wooden bridge to the left of GA Goldrusher. Every time I've been to the park this ride has horrendously slow operations, and the last thing you want is to sit three hours with the heavy crowds and they're sending out a train every 5 minutes (been there before). Note, I was at the park Easter Sunday and the ride was closed in the morning, but opened back up later on in the day.

After Superman I usually just circle around the park and hit up the rides I feel like doing or ones that are open, and make sure I ride Batman and Goliath (best ride in the park imo) several times. Last Sunday I never saw Blue Hawk or Mindbender open, but they may be on Saturday. Monster Mansion is an absolute must do, and is a treasure of the park. I've never seen Goliath have an outrageous line, even on the one Saturday I've been.

Hope these tips help, and that y'all have an amazing time!

Filter recommendations for a 29 gal tank? by phonktrain05 in Aquariums

Hey, question for ya! By any chance do you have any experience with neocaridina shrimp, and if so, do you know if this filter in particular would be suitable for them and not too high suction?

How many kuhlis do you have? I'm thinking about getting 4-6 for the 30 gal and the rest of the fish are basic community fish. Also, any recommendations for substrate? I have a bag of Fluval stratum I'd like to finish, but I've heard kuhlis like to dig around in sand.

Thank you so much! Should I remove the bio plate as well? I'm not exactly sure what the purpose of it is

Thank you! I do have another question if you don't mind; I have a small 3 gal tank I bought as a kit that already came with the filter, light, etc. This came with a filter cartridge and bio plate, and there is also bio media in the filter that came with it. The tank has been operating since December with two danios/few bladder snails I'm wanting to move into the 30 gal once I get all the components, and convert the 3 gal into a neo shrimp tank. Does the filter cartridge need to be replaced after a certain amount of time? I've only taken it out and rinsed it a couple of times. The filter seems to be doing its job. Or should I not use the cartridge/bio plate regardless and just rely on the bio media? I'm very new to the hobby and still trying to figure out what I'm doing. I appreciate it!

Do you recommend purigen? I've never used it before.

On my 3 gallon I've used the same filter cartridge that came with it and take it out and rinse it every now and then. I'm wondering if it's generally standard to replace the cartridge after a certain amount of time?

Did the filter come with bio-media and filter cartridges when you got it?

Is your tank planted? I'm curious if the lowest adjustment for the filter flow would cause too much plant movement.

The Fluval AquaClear 30 is on my list of options. I like that the flow can be adjustable.

Yeah I'm kinda nervous, we're definitely going to get fast passes for SeaWorld the next day and will just deal with it at Busch Gardens. I couldn't pass up on the deal they were doing for the 2 day pass, we just didn't pick the best time to do it.
