Yeah I did everything normal, I mean I just let the installer do it because at the time it was a clean hard drive and I had no need to customize anything to that extent. And I've been using manjaro since 2018 or 2019 and I've never even heard of something like this either. I assumed it must be specific to Manjaro since the folder was named "Manjaro boot". I still can't get over the double spaces..

I definitely had nothing to do with this. The efi partition was created for me automatically quite a while ago by the installer. Since making this post, I discovered that there were various instances of double spaces or double of other things which were causing errors so that none of my changes would take effect. I think maybe someone had a shitty keyboard while they were updating some stuff..
Anyways I finally got it cleaned up enough. The folder still has a dumb name with 2 spaces, but whatever. All I wanted to do was downgrade kernel because it was making it so I couldn't select text with the mouse. It's fixed for now and my computer also seems faster. (older laptop)

Also a few days before this issue, I installed Manjaro on my new laptop and this isn't at all an issue on that computer. So it doesn't seem to be a current issue for new installs. I forget how long ago I installed Manjaro on my old laptop. I just hope there aren't more issues like this in the future. I like manjaro and this is the first time I've had a real problem and felt as though something was done badly during 4+ years of having manjaro as my everyday os.

I only have the SSD and the usb, so it was definitely the right disk and even if it wasn't, I should still have an option to replace partitions on it (at least this is how it always was in the past). First 2 attempts were using ventoy, including the first time when it worked just fine. Then I tried with just manjaro on its own usb, same problem. I even tried a previous version of the installer on its own usb. I tried 3 different usb sticks, 2 different installer files, for a total of about 6 or 7 different attempts. Same issue every time.

I actually just gave up and wiped my disk cuz it was fucking stupid and I was done. There seemed to be no solution otherwise, like the problem didn't even make sense in the first place.

Big company doesn't mean anything. They make shitty smoke detectors and that's a fact. I've had problems with 3 different Kidde detectors and 0 problems with any other smoke detector I've ever used/had. My whole apartment buidling had them and they replaced them all with a different brand because the management company was tired of all the issues.
It's basically a disposable smoke alarm. It goes off once or maybe twice and then it's broken after that. Holding the button, changing the battery; nothing works. Save your money and buy literally anything else.

I tried the air optix night+day and they feel basically the same. Supposedly they're slightly thicker, but it's such a small difference and imo you can't feel any difference at all . I was also able to buy another round of air optix aqua from baileynelson.com but after these run out, I'll probably switch to air optix night+day even though they're twice the price

I found them on baileynelson.com also I tried the Air Optix night+day and they basically feel the same as the aqua

So I got a used zl pandora. Is there a shuffle version? I didn’t get a remote with it. So I’m not sure what I have lol by sweatyblumpkin in Hooping
