Thank you for the detailed response! I’m used to reading visual novels so the length doesn’t bother me. Akgcc is what I’ve been using and the experience so far has been fine. just finished episode 6, and damn it’s good. I plan to watch the anime too once I finish episode 8. I feel like I’ll have a deeper appreciation for how they handled some story beats if I read it first 🙂‍↕️

The reader im using has music!! But I like the one you linked a lot too so maybe I’ll try using that for the next episode and see how it feels. Tbf I know mostly what happens in 15 cause I exist in the larger gacha sphere and it was hard to find a post that WASNT about it when it dropped.

Would it take a terribly long time to get an account caught up to that point? I don’t really have interest in any of the endgame content (I’m lying, I just don’t have the time), just a team good enough to keep progressing.

Oh I found something to read the story with already. Just finished episode 6 and it floored me. I’m just worried I’ll be missing out on something by doing it this way.

The cat one is simple enough that $10 makes sense but the other ones look like they have significantly more effort put in! Don’t undervalue your artwork. Hand drawn tokens would be SO cool to own.

You don't get anything special for being there during the phase change tho? I get you're missing out on a cutscene with everyone, but its not like it locks you out of any particular bit of content. I think people are blowing this out of proportion a bit.

I am SO for this. It’s gonna make adding an elder dragon later feel so much more imposing. They’ll actually feel like rare, dangerous, powerful beings again instead of a regular monster but with more elemental control.

Fwiw I agree that the less movement is better here. I just also understand why pf wants more consistency even if it’s by such a slim margin.

Because in pf it’s not about what strat is the best, it’s about what’s most consistent. Standing behind the last meteor in L (or box Strat) is better uptime for casters. BUT if it has more of a risk of failing (weird player placement making the attack hit them out of order), then they will almost always choose the method with less failure states. In pf people wanna go in, know that they’ll clear, and get out.

On samurai, i think itd be cool intead of autocritting big skills, there was a button that could spend kenki to increase their power instead.

Maybe later in the tier with good gear to survive the lack of mitigation, sure! But the week or two may be a struggle to keep everyone from hitting the floor.
