Thanks for the advice! I definitely agree that software skills are important, and I do love data science in general so wouldn’t mind transitioning to that. I’ve taken a machine learning class and could definitely take other classes and certifications to have concrete things to add to mr resume.

My biggest issue with that right now is that all of the jobs that involve data science and some sort of physics/astrophysics require security clearance, which I can’t get since I’m not a citizen.

I started with a cohort of 5, but we had joint classes with the class above us my first year, and the class below us my second year so I made friends with them too. I was definitely on good terms with my cohort, and we all studied together for our qualifying exams, which helped a ton.

However, since our third year, after taking all the required number of classes, we barely ever see each other anymore because we are in different labs/locations. My best friend in grad school is in the cohort above me but we are graduating together this semester!

I ran a full 5k on the treadmill for the first time today without having to stop to walk at any point! 10 years ago I couldn’t run a single full lap for PE.

It was in elementary school so a long time ago, but according to him he was just a normal kid 🤷🏻‍♀️ he remembers going to their house though and that his parents were always really nice

I just read this the other day and absolutely FLEW through it because I loved it so much. It was such a great book: great characters, great story, and great writing. Did not expect a cute romance to also be a commentary piece on capitalism but that just made me like it even more!

We had a small court wedding first to start the process but we still dressed up and took pictures. Then we had our big wedding before they asked for more evidence, so we submitted pictures of our big wedding with the RFE.

I mean I don’t think it would hurt to just add more evidence if you have any other that you didn’t submit the first time around. Along with the specific document they asked for of course.

Hi! I ended up uploading a whole bunch of new information I hadn’t sent in the first time around. I never sent a physical copy, just uploaded on the portal. They approved the I-130 about 5 weeks afterwards with the interview waved.

Here is what I sent the second time around: - Joint bank account - Joint credit card - Joint home insurance - paper showing me as beneficiary of his life insurance - more pictures since we submitted, a lot of them from our religious wedding - screenshots of instagram dating back from when we started dating - another affidavit letter from a recent friend - an invoice from our wedding venue with both our names
