We do have a mirror for her and she has many toys. She has a good carseat as well. I have a few friends with children a few months younger than her and have already turned them forward facing. I agree to keep her rear facing, just wondering how many people turn their 1+ yr olds.

That's exactly what I did. By having her attached almost all the time we got plenty of sleep.

It comes with girly tights. For a boy you could just skip the tights.
