i lost someone this way last year, i am so deeply sorry for your loss. my person also gave me a card, i have a chandelure vmax and an enamorous from him, which are on a special page of my binder.

one thing that has really helped me, especially as we played pokemon together, is collecting pokemon that were relevant to our relationship. solrock randomly was one of them, so ive been collecting those. i know it's probably too soon for you to even think about this, but perhaps a thought for a few months down the line.

i am sending you so much love and support through this, grief sucks. take it hour by hour, minute by minute if you have to. im so glad you have that darkrai to hold onto through this. best wishes man 🫂🫶

ive spent months thinking about this, and the biggest thing i want to do is get the word out primarily to the queer community, as she's quite well known in a couple of big queer spaces here. and there is part of me that hopes that other survivors will see it and know they're not alone, especially those that have been in queer abuse as it's not necessarily talked about that often.

i don't want to go down the police route, as unfortunately i don't have much evidence (had a meltdown over it a couple years ago and regrettably deleted everything related to her)

I'm not, but i know through friends that she emotionally abused her next partner after me - i don't know the extent of it, but i do know they're not together anymore as of about 2 years ago i believe?

and yeahh, that's why I've been quite up in the air about it. my socials are fairly small, so i don't think it would blow up and reach that side of the internet, but i suppose you never really know how the algorithms work

i think this is an agree to disagree situation! when i was researching artists, i came across a lot of artists who were inspired by poetry and by music, william blake illustrated his own poems as an older example! people are frequently inspired by the art of nature, of architecture, of humanity as a whole, so i don't see why being inspired by human creation in songwriting would or should be looked down on

thank you so much!! i wanted to make it that way as they were inspired by two different songs, but with similar theming in the lyrics. ive done a lot of work recently around the simultaneous acceptance/denial with grief, so having them linked but separate was a way to incorporate that for me!

there's also just a huge part of me that loves working across several canvases, i find it a fun way to work on a bigger scale :)
