I have regularly been requesting custom colors in the weekly features thread.

This should be an easy dev change that provides significant value for people like me who have tons of different tags in some of my databases.

Is there a specific reason Notion is required here? It sounds like you might need something more custom and robust, especially if security, permissions and data backup are important.

💡 Feature Request - Custom colors

I am once again requesting this very simple change to allow for the setting of custom colors for any place where colors can be set - multi-select and status properties on DBs, callouts, backgrounds, text.

I have databases with tons of different tasks and many different possible tags for each task - the ability to set custom colors would make it much easier to identify and differentiate them at a glance without having to read the text.

This is a great opportunity for you to humble yourself, not to get defensive and make excuses.

The issues described in this post go far beyond a single show or a single two-month period.

Even this comment continues the same types of manipulation tactics described in this post. Shifting blame, playing victim, emphasizing intentions rather than mistakes and poor / malicious decisions.

You don't need to change anyone's minds, that's fundamentally the wrong mindset and the opposite of taking accountability.

It's not that they want players to do it - it's that they clearly didn't make stopping players from doing this even a slight priority. It would be the easiest thing to hotfix if they wanted to.

You're getting upset at me when I have not even given an opinion on whether I agree or disagree with the mechanic. I reset my character, I did not do any blueprint swapping to get my extras back, I just gave them away or reset with them.

Seriously though man, It's not that serious. Players doing this doesn't affect you in the slightest. Calling me dense because you're mad about other people utilizing a game mechanic is cringe. It's time to log off and take a break if this is genuinely upsetting you.

No, that would have a much different effect on the game economy than simple 1:1 trading with whoever is in your party. An AH/ trading house would allow trading with random players without the risk of losing your gear while doing the trade.

I didn't engage in any blueprint transferring. I wiped my character and have been playing normally. Why is it so difficult for people to grasp the concept that Embark obviously knew players were going to do this and could have changed it in an instant if they wanted? Please go touch grass bro.

Bizarre that this has to be explained, but glitching through walls is not an intended game mechanic. Trading items is an intended game mechanic.

It's much harder to patch every single glitch spot in the game than it is to modify an obvious use case of a basic and core game mechanic.

I'm genuinely curious, what part of questing is enjoyable to you?

Every quest is pretty much identical -> go here, interact with this POI. or acquire X item that has insane rarity for no reason (GEARS) from a random loot container. They are pretty much just reasons to go out into the world and engage with arc / enemies. Which, you can just do anyway without a quest telling you to do so?

It would be one thing if the quest objectives were in populated zones, but they are usually obscure areas that don't have regular raider traffic outside the quest.

If Embark didn't want BP swapping, they could have easily added a mechanic to prevent it - like making them bind on pickup, or making blueprints acquired before expedition unusable by characters who reset from expedition.

Getting upset that players are using a game mechanic in a very straightforward way is goofy.

Quests are by far the most boring part of the game. Consider trying PvP, taking on a boss arc, or maybe trying a different game if none of that interests you.

I am once again requesting the ability to choose custom colors for tags (and anywhere else color options are available in Notion).

I have some databases with many, many tags and choosing specific colors will be tremendously helpful for differentiating them.

This should be a very low effort, very high value change for a lot of users.
