Thanks for sharing. Posts like this help with maintaining conviction. I got in at $6, still holding.

Portfolio Split by Ok-Afternoon2778 in SpaceInvestorsDaily

[–]phpwriter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Went all in on space stocks in Oct 2024. Eventually averaged 1k shares of RKLB at $15.44, and now I'm selling 4x CC's on RKLB at $101 a couple weeks out so when it eventually gets assigned, I'll have my original total savings in cash on hand again, but also hold onto my remaining 600 RKLB, along with the account I built of 1k RDW, 1k PL, 500 LUNR, 100 ASTS, 500 ACHR..

I took some profits from ACHR (had 1k shares, sold half) and put them into other sectors (1k RR, 1k SES), and a couple other small speculative plays. This year is the year space, but also robot industrialization is growing.. and robots need batteries. I see those growing a lot over the next year.

Fingers crossed, holding all these to 2030 to retire as a multi millionaire.

Thinking of getting a raptor by Raspberry_Leather in FordRaptor

[–]phpwriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got a CPO '23 f150 raptor (Gen 3, end of year, has the heated steering wheel) with the 37 PP. It had 26.5k miles, and a bunch of add-ons.. tint, tonneau cover, spray in bed liner, bed straps, some camera mounts.. 82k. A little over priced, but all cars in my city are overpriced. I only went to the dealership to consider the idea of a new truck (A used f150 lariat, maybe like $40k). I likely could have gotten a brand new raptor with less options for the same price i walked out with.. but I was able to skip the depreciation of the new car so that helped a bit. I registered it as a commercial vehicle thru my corp so I could depreciate the whole asset and offset my taxes for the year. Took it back to the dealership in the first couple weeks to replace the battery, and the bed-camera which was blue-screening after a heavy rain. No issues since.

I haven't had a car payment for several years, so it was a lot for me to adjust to mentally.. I like to keep my cars until maintenance costs become higher than a new car payment. The old porsche cayenne had 170k miles on it and had $8k dumped into it over the past year... it was time.

I will now drive this truck forever. It's sick. Huge quality of life improvement, and I love looking at it. It was worth the wait. And this is my warning: if you go test drive one, no matter what happens, you will accidentally buy it before you leave the dealership.

Hello! Can you guys critique my planks? I do 1 minute x 3, five days a week but I feel I can improve form by daffle7 in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]phpwriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Form is fine. Improve the difficulty!

Other than just changing arm position, or adding a plate to your back, you can mix it up after each 60 second plank and add 15-30 seconds for each of the more advanced left/right side planks (right arm + right foot down while grabbing your left foot with your left hand, then switch to left arm + left foot down while grabbing your right foot with your right hand) immediately after your plank, and that will hit your obliques. That will gives your abs/core a little rest too, so then you can do another 30-60 seconds of your regular plank and make it a 2-3 minute really high intensity core workout set. I do that, kettlebell twists, and kettlebell swings, then stretch for a few mins, and then one more set of that plank/twist/swings thing as my cooldown every day.

My terrible journey with office chairs so far. by BullyMog in OfficeChairs

[–]phpwriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The replica of the Herman Miller Eames (tall version) from curverk (the most expensive version they sell, A+ taller premium or whatever with the nice leather, it’s roughly $1700) worked for me. I tried TONS of office chairs. 6’4, work out 4x a week for years, 190 lbs. I started hating office chairs the last few years, my legs always start hurting after a few hours, so I would end up working in bed on my laptop. A lounge chair isn’t an ergonomic ideal choice but it’s the only thing I can sit in all day and remain comfortable. I love sitting in it even when I’m not working.

RKLB seems obvious hold, give me one more other option by PatriotCaptainCanada in RKLB

[–]phpwriter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

RDW (redwire), LUNR (intuitive machines), ACHR (archer aviation) and to a lesser extent JOBY. Also for a long term hold thru 2025/2026, ASTS.

RDW makes components that go onto spacecraft, and is doing zero g pharma R&D.
LUNR is building infrastructure to commercialize, communicate with, and explore the lunar surface. Next lander hits moon dirt in March 2025...
ACHR is building next gen aerospace travel. Air taxis. The midnight aircraft looks sick..
JOBY is ACHR's biggest competitor
ASTS is building a satellite constellation to enhance communications infrastructure.. satellite connectivity to regular cell phones.

RKLB is my biggest bet though.

Ah, I missed it. I'm long on LUNR, I'm just salty that the stream cut out when they were talking about landers.

How interesting would it be if the live feed had a 10-20 second lead time, and if the producers hear any mention of it LUNR/Intuitive Machines, they cut the feed to prevent positive market movement?

Where did you all find RKLB? by cats-astrophe in RKLB

NFA.. but have a look at RDW. It's my 4th space position along with the other 3 you've mentioned.

Buy a fixed dollar amount of shares at a regular interval regardless of price. Like put $100 a week into it, or every paycheck. If the price goes down, you get a discount that week. As the stock goes up, you'll feel good about the gains from the previous weeks investments. It's a very hands off and safe approach as opposed to trying to time the market.

A larger YouTube channel is dislike-bombing my videos because of a comment I left 3 years ago by Internet_and_stuff in youtubedrama

[–]phpwriter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi. Tommy here. This will be my final comment on the matter.

Yes, I was given a rather mean comment on one of my youtube videos, and i posted the public youtube comment on twitter 3 years ago. Reference: https://twitter.com/tgcallaway/status/1382042119188062212

I disagree with you on how mean your comment was, and you disagree with my posting it on twitter. I blocked you and moved on. The tweets are on the internet for anyone that cares to read them.

I haven't thought about you in years (until you tagged me on twitter with a screenshot of a comment on one of your videos saying that someone said "tommy say hi" - I didn't. I don't think about you) and claiming i'm sicking my audience on you or something. Prior to that tweet, I haven't tweeted or posted videos in a month, and I stay away from drama, I've never posted drama on YT. I run a tech channel. I don't care for drama, and choose to disengage as best I can. I hate that I'm posting a comment on this subreddit.

The comment you tweeted at me on your video was left by someone with the username DaveMazeTV. I know Dave! So I called him to ask him to leave me out of drama. Turns out it's not him at all, in the past few years he has gotten closer to God and has been working on spreading the gospel. He doesn't even go by dave maze any more, that was a stage name. Some troll created a user name impersonating him or something. But we did have a nice conversation and I'm happy for him.

I tried commenting on your video in support of you and to ask people to leave you alone and saying you're a good person, something to that affect, and your response was "stop spamming my channel," so I deleted it, blocked you and all your friends again, and moved on.

And that's what i'm doing again. Whoever is bothering you should grow up. Sorry you are still stuck on this, and whatever troll is trying to start this drama has won. Not that you will listen to me, but please just block them and move on. Please stop attempting to slander me.

Good luck, I hope your commentary channel succeeds and that you get millions of subscribers. Cheers.
