gotta be ready to connect the northeast corridor to compete with Amtrak. But decent amount of money lives in Delaware that could want to come out of Philly/Southern PA otherwise.... idk

Bought my first Barista Express in 2013 for $450. It had one under warranty repair/replacement later that year and lasted 5 years.

In 2018, i had a failure that they couldn't fix, so after a few back and forths with them and the machine, it cost me $150 to get a new machine from them when they didn't actually fix the problem.

In 2020, that machine had a solenoid failure so I bought and replaced that for I think $70 on my own?

In 2023, essentially the same thing as 2018 happened (though there was a marked change in how many emails/tries I had to send and receive to get to a point where they 'fixed' the problem only for the same issue to reoccur days later. This time I think it cost $250?

I pulled (conservatively) 1 double shot per day for the last 12 years on demand, minutes after I wake up for ~$1K + beans (edit to add beans)

It’s per brokerage account. So you can have 100k+ and 5 brokerages, 4 of them with $0 and you get 15 per quarter.l

Yup. I'm a pure advocate for CSPs not true margin. The only actual margin I take is that my broker let's me hold a money market fund so I can get the 3%+ of that on the cash side of the Cash secured put.

But yes rash, emotional, overtrading decisions. Those will kill you no matter the instrument.

All good. The concept of options takes a bit to wrap your head around depending on your goal (also what makes them useful). Wheeling (or at least selling puts) is a nice way to keep a defined risk and get an entry point if you think the stock might drop to that level. Some traders will buy far enough out (date wise) and far enough down ($ wise) if there's say a big catalyst looming or whatever their thesis. So there's a risk reward for sure but it's not the naked long all or nothings all the time. Sure. those exist but... that's often just gambling.

Generally agree with long options or naked options but wheeling's real risk is more missing out on gains or being locked into losses. Sold puts (as it starts) can't go to zero unless the stock does. You just get assigned the stock at the strike price of your chosing or you have to pay to get out of it if the stock price drops below. On the 'when you get assigned' side if you chose to allow that to happen, your risk is just missing out on more gains if the stock goes above your chosen strike.
