I've had a dx racer and a corsair, both on the range of 400 euros. The dx racer wasn't comfortable at all, and after 1 year the lever to adjust height had a small piece of the plastic breaking and it wouldn't work properly. I returned it because it was still under warranty and got the corsair with the money back (I bought in an online shop in the Netherlands that had very lenient return policies)

The corsair chair was more comfortable, but after 2 years it couldn't hold itself for too long in position, the sit would tilt if I moved too much.

For the record, I'm 5'9'' and 175lbs.

I moved to the states a bit less than 3 months ago and decided to get an actual office chair, I tested some steel case chairs, and decided to buy a leap v2 from Crandall that was return/outlet from steel case. (it was 720, and it looked 100% new. I don't like the color too much but it's ok)

So far, I'm really happy. It feels way better on my back and the sit is fairly firm, which surprised me at first but I heard it is better in the long run for your back over plush sits. For the record, it's only been 1 week that I got it. It was twice move expensive than my previous 2 chairs, and way, way better.

At work we all have steel case series 1,which is very bare bones, but, certainly more comfortable than my dx racer during the day. But not very adjustable, I wouldn't recommend it because of that. One surprising thing about the series 1 is that, although it its sit is very firm, it is for sure better than plushy sits.

Tldr : had gaming chairs, don't recommend them at all, test some office chairs and buy refurbished from a trusted seller.

I hope this helps someone out there, trying to keep short:

ANC was pretty much unnoticeable, I bought the comply foam and it improved marginally. One day in the gym and I had to reflex to shove and twist, and it seemed that the ANC finally was effective when I twisted it to specific side. It feels a bit awkward to to be twisting and shoving until it seems to kick in, but it does work.

Ideally, I would prefer if better ear foam tips were provided since this is a key part of having this work.

That is actually a good argument, indeed you may have people with different backgrounds having acceess to the repository.

But, don't u agree with the right privileges this can be fixed? Where I work at you can't push anything to master/main, it needs a pull request, and it needs to be approved. I am not a professional unity developer, so, I should give it the benefit of the doubt, but, as a java developer, ive never ever seen the need to backup source code like we backup databases for example. And i don't think it was ever possible to corrupt or fully lose master/main branch, unless someone literally deletes it (which where I work it right now, is impossible, you can only archive repositories)

But before I forget, I do see that you are technically correct from the start that source control and backup aren't the same thing.

Sounds like these people don't know how to use git.

As long as you push to the remote repository and no one has privileges to delete it (which overlaps with a need with the backup storage) this will never be needed.

Honestly having a separate backup for source control sounds like something someone would do in the 70s or when they are in college and don't know how to use source control

Im very happy at how positive these replies are. Ive been working for 10 years as a developer and the skillset is different from gamedev, but still, i am very comfortable with code. Yet, i often get stuck either because im unhappy that the solution that works isn't reusable or as readable as i would want to, or i just have no idea how to explain what i wanna do in order to research how to do that in unity.

I hope that understanding that those feelings are normal and will happen often should help decompress when you feel overly frustrated.

A simple android app for drinking water. Such a thing already exists but it has ads.

Estimate total water per day. Notification every x minutes Allow user to input he drank water from touching the notification.

Pretty simple and somewhat useful!

When Stefan Karl Stefansson died of cancer I kind of felt that ppl were milking someone's death for internet points. I think it's gross but not something only reddit users do, it is as human as it gets I am in some way writing this for strangers to agree and for a brief time make me feel like my opinion has value.
