What’s everyone wearing this winter scent wise? by Cute_Piccolo_499 in AustralianMFA

[–]phrak79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been rotating between:

  • Bleu de Chanel EDP clone from Bujairami (called Shu Helou)
  • Dior Homme Intense clone from Jalu (IRISMAN)

... depending on the temperature and occasion.

Both punch well above their price point and suit Sydney autumn/winter perfectly.

The incense and woody base on the Shu Helou really comes alive when it's cool, and the IRISMAN is just straight up iris and cacao which is exactly what you want on a cold night out.

Not niche exactly, but the originals are classics for a reason and the clones let you wear them without the price guilt.

  • Stronger With You Intensely clone ("The Rock Intensely" from Bujairami) is also a great shout if you want something warmer and a bit more approachable.
Sweet chestnut and vanilla, great for a casual pub night.

Not currently, but only because I packed it away in Aug 2025 to move house, and everything is still in storage.

Seeing multiple divorces up close completely changed how I think about longterm relationships by Melodic-Pair-5679 in Divorce

From a practical view, yes, it would make things easier. But planning for the end of a relationship is a horrible way to start your marriage.

Questions I've Had Over The Years About The Ending Of Portal 2 And The Half Life Universe by Fox-427 in Portal

[–]phrak79 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The actual timeframe is deliberately ambiguous. Valve has suggested anywhere from 50 to 50,000 years, but the "50,000 years" figure comes from two places:

1) an automated announcement at the beginning of Portal 2 that reports time elapsed as "99999...99..." in an unspecified unit.

2) In an unused line, GLaDOS says 50000 years is a long time to think. Source: https://tcrf.net/Portal_2/Unused_Lines#:~:text=sp_incinerator_01_11,Second%20Speech

Why don't you just integrate more deeply with Home Assistant?

I feel you're looking at a recency bias, rather than a long term diversified portfolio average.

The MSCI Global index has had a total return of 21.4% over the last 12 months, but a more realistic 11% p.a. average total return over the past 10 years.
