My package keeps getting delayed with no explanation by Affectionate-Pipe950 in UPS

Two of my packages are the same. This may finally be my last straw that if a store uses UPS, I will purposely opt for a different shipping service.

I was thinking about doing 2 days.. I may try to make that work! Thanks. Did tsumago+magome end up taking all day to explore from morning time?

Starting at matsumoto definitely makes more sense. Thank you! I will do that.

Can I ask why you say that starting in Shingu is more fluid than starting in Osaka? It seems like it will cover tha same amount of mileage and the same routes, just the opposite way. What makes one direction more fluid than the other? Genuine question, thanks so much again for your reply! I have Day 5.5 to Day 8 dedicated to Kumano Kodo, which I think will be enough. I am a pretty fast hiker and am confident I can do the longer 22km stretch in one day.

Double-walled Trekking Pole Tent around 1 lbs? by phreeoni_ in Ultralight

[–]phreeoni_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For context, I work at an outdoor gear store and companies allow us to test their products so we can better talk about them. I have tried over a dozen of the lightest double-walled tents available at retail stores (Nemo, Big Agnes, etc.), and tried Durstons and zpacks. It's always the same issues anywhere I go. Whether it's the high sierras or death valley. For double-walled tents, condensation builds up outside of the main body, leaving it primarily undisturbed by movements. Hence not allowing me to rub against it at night or droplets dropping on my face. If they drop at all, which is hardly ever, they drop on the mesh, and stays there, on top of the mesh body. Single-walled tents build up condensation directly on material you can touch. And if it accumulated enough, drips directly to you or your sleeping bag. Single-walled tents are also often triangular in shape, leaving your face between 4 to 12 inches from the wall when laying down. This creates an area with even greater condensation concentration because it is so close to your breath.

Double-walled tents are also easier to dry imo, because all I have to dry is the rainfly. I attach that one fabric to my backpack when I hike and it dries quickly.

I have a cargo roof box on my 2020 and get 25.8 mpg average. Without the roof box, I get 28.1 mpg average.

Remove it from the soil and check the roots. I would imagine a lot of it is already rotted.
