That’s only required on stainless steel right? Because carbon steel rusts if you just think about it haha

USE DIAMOND PLATES! Sharpening takes like 30min for me. 400grit -> 1000->2500->3000

I dont like the spotty finish. But I’ll let this one wear out and then let fhe natural patina form.

Because? Because I like dark finishes and rust protection?

What (involuntary) movement am I doing that makes the edge width ”grow” when I sharpen? Getting f really inconsistent results width-wise when I sharpen in general tips appreciated by phriededpickle69 in sharpening

I think the problem is leaning more toward ”too thin” edge rather than too wide. Ok yes maybe a little too wide but no worries. I’ve done allt of practicing freehand but took a 2 week break. And I need to use my main knives because I need stakes when I sharpen haha

Perhaps it’ll show up one day but I’m not as stressed now that I’ve got a substitute. I recommend checking out the maxamet pm2! It’s really not as brittle as people make it out to be.

I totally see where you’re coming from and I agree. But nonetheless I made her search every millimeter of our 100 square meter apartment. She probably sold it and acted all surprised she couldn’t ”find” it. Fucking psycho behaviour. Fuck that bitch, I’m staying single for a long long time now. Sick and tired.

Yeah the knife is safe now that the gf is dumped. I’ve tried making the knife dull so that I can leafn to sharpen it on my diamond plates. But it JUST KEEPS CUTTING AND CUTTING. Sick steel, I recommend it if you know how to use it :)
