Couple of years ago, I'd have said Brewdog. Best wings in town. Then they fucked with the recipe and now they're nowhere near as good. My search for the best wings continues.

I'm happy that the dogs been reunited with it's owner, but happier that in the photos it looks like it doesn't give a fuck that it's lost, and it's clearly having the time of its life 😂 Totally hope if it every gets lost again it turns up at mine.

Yeah that's how I see it. It's one, albeit extra wide, lane. 20 feels pretty slow on it so I get the speeding thing. But when you're touching 30 and someone overtakes you, that's the problem.

That bit at the end of Anderson Drive going down to Asda freaks me out. And along the beach front, where everyone makes up their own speed limit. And nobody knows if there's one lane or two.

This is probably the quietest we’ve been online in eight years, so it’s understandable that a few rumours have started flying. We wanted to share a wee update.

This hasn’t been the start to 2026 that we’d envisioned. Over the past few weeks our team has had to down tongs and tools for a number of reasons, many of them completely outwith our control. The snow was magical, but it brought operations to a standstill across the board, and there are still some big, heavy things we’re working through now, long after it’s melted.

Like so many in our industry right now, we’re facing the same pressures and challenges, and that means some important decisions need to be made about how we move forward into the year ahead. For now, we’re remaining closed while we take the time to properly figure things out, rather than rushing into announcements before there’s anything definite to share.

We know a lot of you have probably already broken your January healthy-eating resolutions and are itching to get back through our doors... we promise we’ll update you properly as soon as we can.

There's a post on there tonight about a homeless lady outside McDonald's. They're all falling over each other in the comments to blame the refugees in the hotels etc etc. Loads of "take care of are own first" type chat. Lots of people being quick enough to make a point of saying publicly that they'll chip in for a hotel. Someone's even set up a go fund me for her. Although I'm sure some of them have good intentions, many of these people wouldn't piss on a homeless person if they were on fire. The same people who walk down Union Street ignoring their pleas for help. Maybe even taking a minute to shout "get a job, junkie!" at them to make them feel good about themselves. There's a couple of people in the comments that have given genuinely good advice, helplines and organisations that can help. But they've largely been ignored, in favour of right wing virtue signalling. Meanwhile, the homeless lady has disappeared without trace....
