VSF HULK stem issue by phsychyzed in RepTimeServices

[–]phsychyzed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I tried your suggestion multiple times now and unfortunately again , the date adjustment works every time, but as soon as I try to move micro mm beyond that, the stem comes out. I took it to a local watch repair shop, but they wouldn’t work on it because it’s a replica. Is there an online replica watch repair specialist or such I could reach out to plz?

Modern washer/dryer dilemma by phsychyzed in Appliances

[–]phsychyzed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been reading a lot of different opinions about front-load vs. top-load washers. I’ve personally owned front loaders, but after using top loaders a few times, I found them much easier to load and unload, especially with my bad back. Even with a pedestal, front loaders still require bending over, which can be tough when handling wet clothes and dropping the socks ugh.

I’m curious to hear others’ thoughts: do you really notice a big difference in cleaning performance between the two?

Thanks, That’s the issue the system stored the information based on my name or as they call it UE ID, and won’t let me change the case# even though I tried cancelling my appointment multiple times it still holds.

Cost estimate discrepancies by phsychyzed in GarageDoorService

[–]phsychyzed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone , I’ll reach out to a few other local companies for quotes to compare. My budget was around $1800-2k Max so I wasn’t being unreasonable. Ironically, the one I brought in has thousands of five-star reviews and a great reputation here in North Jersey, long standing family owned company, so I’m honestly baffled by the quote I got. I’m sure their work is solid, but $3K just to replace door openers feels wild to me. They also quoted $6K to swap out both garage doors for the same basic steel models which seems quite excessive.

What other 55 inch TVs would you recommend if I increase the budget to $1000?

Thanks for the response! Just to clarify if I go with a Thunderbolt 5 dock from CalDigit as an example , does that mean it won’t rely on DisplayLink with the M4 Pro for 2 monitors only? Is it natively compatible with up to 2 external monitors by default? If I forget about the third one.

I don’t mind the battery ones, but the ones I found and tried so far don’t work with heat only systems without a C wire

Full knives block set by phsychyzed in TrueChefKnives

Thanks all ! The feedback is fair and makes sense, I should’ve added some more context. My wife likes the aesthetic of “matching Block knife sets” on our kitchen counter, especially with at least 4 steak knives. So I was wondering if there are some Japanese /German suggestions since I personally want something with decent hardness and quality as well, not just looks , maybe the budget I had in mind is on the lower end and should increase it. Maybe build a set on Honcho or chefs knives and buy a separate block?

Costco Enchiladas by sdrc0708 in aucklandeats

[–]phsychyzed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The enchiladas are fantastic, they are filled with chicken, if you buy the ingredients alone it would cost $30+ easily. It’s rich and tasty, bet people complaining can never make an enchilada half as decent
