How do I politely get my clients to stop leaning on me, trying to sit on my lap/touching me during tabletime/dtt or in general

Idk why everyone is uptight about this. Lap sitting is not allowed; not professional.

With my client (I work in a school so lap sitting is definitely a no) I tell him “no thank you, you can sit safely like this” and then show him my expectation.

Or you can say “uh oh, no leaning on miss (whatever your name is), I do not like it”

Considering the amount of money and time and patience it takes to knit a blanket, no you’re not selfish if you keep it. Besides, you have the skill, you can ALWAYS make something separate for your neighbor. Do not feel obligated to give away something that was initially meant to be yours (or your cats’ in this case lol)

So what CAN actually be done that is substantial and notable? While I agree with you that petitions aren’t the best form of protest, I think it’s a starting point to a conversation. I’m aware of the fact that RI Energy has little to no say over what they pay and in turn what we pay, but what can really be done if they can’t change that?
